About
October 10, 2007 is the date when we opened our first bar store on the top of Neruda Street, right next to Prague Castle. Over time, ours Absinth bar has become a very confusing and popular place in the ranks of travelers from all over the world. Our work is our hobby. Unfortunately, at the end of January 2017, the lease was not extended and we were forced to leave our beloved bar. After less than 6 months, we found the right space for our ideas and for the magical date of 10.10.2017, after 10 years, we in Tyn yard only 3 minutes from the Old Town Square opened. We have a bigger space (140m2) and a cellar from the 14th century! in which there is one of the steps even from the 13th century, when this area was inhabited by a blacksmith. We divided the two floors as follows: the first floor is rather located in the shop and the bar is very downstairs with a very unique decoration. The atmosphere is amazing. We prepare our drinks right before a guest on a cart!

Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

    Quirky and fun
Such a quirky and interesting experience. As soon as you enter there is art on the walls, which is intriguing, then you are lead down stairs, deeper below ground level, to a wall covered in visitor’s signatures and comments. We were provided a pen to add your own piece, which was fun. We then sat in the most twisted Alice in wonderland meets Beetlejuice area and provided our drinks. Great first time trying absinthe here and would recommend everyone try at least once. Be warned, it hits hard than you realise!!

    Very informative, grungy ambiance
The staff are very attentive here and thoroughly explain the different choices on the menu (there are several!) They explain the difference between high quality absinth and low quality absinth, and serve you as a group by pouring the drinks in front of you. Quite an expensive experience but worth doing!

    Worth the experience.
This was a great experience, we were popping in as tourist and the staff member was so friendly and helpful. I don't remember his name but he had light colored, long hair. He was really nice and honest about the drinks. We even got a few samples. It was nice to visit and see the atmosphere and taste the drinks. Thank you!

Great place to visit when in Prague
The place is really cool and full of quirky decorations which adds a lot of charm. Since it is a basement it can get a but stuffy so bear this in mind please. They have a huge collection of absinth of course but if you are a beer drinker there are only two non standard choices. It is not ours first visit to absinthe bar so we kinda expected to get the water dripper and ability to make our own drinks but it was not the case. We got our absinthe mixed by the server which was a bit disappointing but overall place is really cool.

We came to this bar because of the reviews of great staff. Being quiet seasons when we got there we were the only ones there. We were told on the way in to go straight downstairs, not greeted. One of the guys came down shortly after. He was vaguely helpful and did explain the drink as he made it. Then left us there and never came back. We finished our drink, spent time some selecting the next one and waited. Around 20 minutes later we figured no one was coming and left. My girlfriend had been upstairs and couldn't even see anyone around. They didn't speak to us as we paid they just talked between themselves. For over $50 aud you would expect a bit more. Amazing reviews from others though so maybe just a combination of quiet season and no one else there. So I would advise take a look inside, see if others are being served and interacted with then maybe give it a shot. But if its quiet or the service looks slow bail somewhere else.

What a fun, unique experience (at least for us). The place itself is super weird and almost kitschy, but in a fun, unexpected way based on the front door/entryway. There's so much on the walls and ceilings to look at, and wonder about, and laugh at--in a good way, and it's just a neat vibe/setting.

The server was great. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and informative, and his "live" preparation (i.e., in front of us) was cool and well-done. Professional, but chill (i.e., not snooty).

Quite a substantial menu of different absinth to try as well.

We weren't really planning to go here, but somehow found ourselves here, and it ended up being one of our highlights of our weekend in Prague.

Lovely place and I love the decorations! Was my friends first time trying absinth and the guy working there was very helpful and gave us recommendations! The only thing I have a complaint about is the wifi not working and it’s a little on the pricey side but absinth usually is so not a worry! Great place for absinth lovers

This place was cool. Found out from a local that they don't really drink Absinth and that it's mostly a tourist activity. Still worth a visit when you're in the area. I went mid afternoon and there weren't many people there. The menu is HUGE. Server was able to give me a tailored recommendation per my preferences and nailed it. Preparation was done table-side by lighting the sugar on fire. Quite a fun show.

Worth a trip. Great selection and superb vampire crypt vibes. Knowledgeable service. Hidden away in a courtyard but worth the quest. Mouldy and damp interior for those with allergies or fear of zombies and other undead, but I thought that made it that much more fun.

The interier is interesting, it feels like it belonged to this bar....The server did not understand Czech language. We continued in English... When I asked him to show us a bottle of Czech absinth, he showed us a French one....he had no clue what he was serving...Neither did we...

A must go to bar, me and my boyfriend tried one of the highest rated absinthe bars in Prague but it was very full so we didn’t end up going in. We then went to Green Devils and it was the best decision we made, the atmosphere and how we were served with a story about the making of absinthe was something very memorable for us. We were taken into an underground cellar where the staff told us which absinthe we should try after asking us about our preferences with alcohol. Highly recommend!!
