All you need to know about this bar is that the cocktails are fabulous and the staff are real professionals. Although the price of the cocktails are more similar to what you’d pay in London than to what you’ll pay for your average drink in...More

Despite empty tables we were asked TWICE to wait outside until they found a table. It was minus 5 degrees. Rude!

Rude staff and overpriced for the ok cocktails. And some people are still waiting outside to get in. Ridiculous.

Myself and my girlfriend ordered two G&Ts which were fine, but overpriced. We also ordered a more expensive cocktail which we returned immediately due to its awful taste, the bartender was more than happy to take it away and promised a replacement drink, however this...More

Bar was recommended by the waiter at the restaurant we had just eaten in. Took two seats at the bar and glad we did. The bartender (only his second night) charmed us with his knowledge of the cocktails and made us feel really welcome. The...More

Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the
medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and
squares, and stone towers blend together with the

Hemingway Bar Dress Code--how strict? (1 Replies)
How strict is the semi-formal dress code at the Hemingway Bar? My husband and I will be in Paris the end of the month and we would like to have a drink at the Hemingway Bar, but we don't want to bring special clothes we will only wear once. Would designer jeans and shirt/blazer for my husband and leggings, trendy sweater dress and boots for me suffice? Thanks! clemsongal

Hemingway Bar where and when?? (25 Replies)
I am in Paris the start of Feb and we want to go the Hemingway bar for drinks. I want to make sure we can get a table so what is the best time to go there (be going on a saturday or sunday)and also can someone please let me know once I enter the hotel where do I go then? There was a thread about this before but I can't seem to find it now. Thanks

I have written here about the Hemingway Bar. Once you enter the Ritz Hotel in the front you have to walk a long way. I am not sure if it is considered the back of the Hotel but it seems like the opposite end because you walk and walk--which is fun because you get to see the whole lobby of the hotel. It is a bar so go there anytime you would like. I think it opens at about 5:30pm--although it might open earlier on weekends, I am not sure. I didn't reserve a table but as I was one of the...More

Buza cafe (10 Replies)
Can anyone help? Following the directions given on TA to get to Buza Cafe: " The best way to get there is to go behind the Church of St. Blaise and to keep walking past Hemingway bar, past the Cathedral, then pick a little side street and walk towards the wall facing the Adriatic sea and Italy. When you hit the wall keep walking along it until you reach a door. At this point, you can go left or right........ To get to the Buza bar without hand rails, do you turn left or right?

Not quite sure about those directions. OK, to start with there are 2 Buza Bars. One is more rustic, and from which you can really see the sun sinking into the sea. The other is smarter with chrome tables and chairs, and looks more south towards Lokrum and while here is very nice, you don't actually see the sun roll down. So, first of all you'll need to get a map of Dubrovnik. You can download one online, get a guidebook, or pick one up from the Tourist Information office. From...More
