Good turnout of vendors and loyal customers despite the steady rain. Nice selection of vegetables and fruits and meats, plus ready-to-eat foods (hot soup! pastry! quiche!) and fresh bread and rolls. Several stands with hot coffee drinks, herbs and teas, other homemade lotions & soaps, a few jewelry vendors. Good vibe even though we were all chilly and wet. Lots of folks walking their well-behaved cute dogs.
Bring your own shopping bag or sack. Come hungry. If it’s raining you can duck under a vendors tent to eat :)
I really enjoyed my ramble through there.

We always like to explore local areas when we are on holiday, and this was no exception.

Lots of local people buying which is always a good sign. You can get bread, cheeses, fruit, veg, flowers. All the sellers were friendly and helpful

We bought everything we needed here for a picnic.

If your visit to Prague extends over a Saturday this lively market - just down from The Dancing House (q.v.) - is well worth a visit if only to try some of the fabulous street food acvailable. We were doubly lucky as there was a beer festival running alongside.

Many thanks to the young man at the front desk of our hotel who told us about this--it's a special spot, a special weekly event most Saturdays (it does close for a few weeks after Christmas). Fresh fish--or fish fried to order. Baked goods, cheeses, vegetables, handmade crafts. Go early, because by noon, some vendors are already sold out.
Loved the freshly-baked crepes. Beer, hot chocolate, great mulled wine.
Too many things, so little time!

I am so glad we accidentally bumped into this market. It was really nice to walk along the river and see all the nice things you can buy, taste and smell.
We bought honney, nuts, cheese, flowers, vegetable chips, juice and some other small things. It is also a great place to grab a small snack. Highly recommended.

Note: Be aware that google maps will lead you to wrong place, but it is not far away, and you will see people coming from there with things they have bought.

I live in Prague and love this market! When I can I come every weekend because there is stuff here I can't find anywhere else. Many of the sellers speak English and you will hear lots of foreign languages in the crowds. And it's a huge crowd! It doesn't bother me but I know some don't like that sort of thing.

The crowd is a drawback if you're coming with small children, but otherwise there is plenty for them to see and do and eat! And if they get bored there's a great playground nearby with a bathroom! It's by the tram stop that's opposite one end of the market; not the tram stop by the beginning of the market, by the metro, but the next stop after which is called Vyton.

Sometimes there's some event going on on the riverside so the market moves up to the square by the metro stop. Also some weekends there's a small flea market with people selling stuff that happens on an anchored boat at the end of the market.

If you're in Prague, don't miss this! It's a great experience!

We are very lucky to have this amazing farmer market right on our doorstep. It's full of great fresh produce but even better ... tasty food and fab drinks. Pasta, grilled seafood, crepes, gourmet burgers, prosecco, beer, it has it all. It's quite a large farmers market so definitely worth a wander around. It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning or afternoon on the river, eating, drinking and listening to the amazing live bands that often accompany the market. It's always busy so there's a great atmosphere and a buzz in the air.

Recommended to us by our tour guide on the Taste of Prague food tour, we visited the market early on a Saturday morning. We ate our way through, sampling delicious baked goods from freshly baked pita and homemade hummus to kolaches and potato pancakes. It's not very big so don't plan on it taking more than an hour if you aren't shopping for a meal. We enjoyed the morning stroll - arrive around 8:30 before it gets crowded.
