Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

We went there to take picture as a couple and it was an excellent and amazing experience. We really loved it. It's the best memory we kept from Praha, wearing traditional Czech dresses, and making some outstanding pictures.

We heard about this photo atelier from TripAdvisor and went to take photos wearing the traditional Czech clothes, it is not easy to spot the location even with Google maps but we asked nearby and the shop owners can guide you. Once we entered the place a very calm polite woman welcomed us and told us that she need around an hour to start our photo session as she had other appointments and she is work alone and take time to dress people and do the photoshoot. When we come back she was ready for us and as I am wearing hijab she suggested to close the atelier door to not be worry about people coming in and out and that was extremely very kind of her, then we selected the customs from a photo album and she helped me and my husband to wear them. She guided us how to act and smile and took around 15 photos for us then after we finished she fixed the photos in around 5 minutes and then gave us time to choose between them; if you are one-two individuals the A5 photo costs 25 EUR and if you are a group of people it will costs you more depending on the group size. The whole process took around 30 minutes. And you can also have all your photos on CD but of course you have to buy it for around 120 EUR. The overall experience is amazing and unforgettable and the lady is super friendly.

We did this as a spur of the moment thing - we just happened to walk past and this is something I always wanted to do. The hardest part was picking the dress to wear - there were so many gorgeous dresses, however, I am happy with the one I ended up with. Staff spoke good English and was really professional and nice and really took her time with us. The photos were great, but a little disappointed that we could only afford to pick three photos - I would have wanted them all! The picture now hangs on the fridge at home and brings us happy memories everytime we look at this. I would recommend this to someone who wants to try something different and have a great memory from Prague. Great activity for couples and families!

We did this on the spur of the moment having seen the advertising board in the street. We weren’t disappointed. We had such a laugh getting ready, ably assisted by one of the photographers who was hugely enthusiastic and very helpful. And posing for the photographs was great fun - we had the more traditional serious photo and then some fun ones. One word of advice, they don’t take credit cards so make sure you have enough cash.

During our last visit to the lovely city of Praque we had some authentic photo's made at the History Foto Atelier in the centre.
They have a very nice collection from which you can choose your 19th or 18th century clothing. They complete the scene with beautiful props and the result is a serie of beautiful photo's to take along home.
