About
The genre of black light theater collects worldwide success since 1955 and its "home" became Czech Republic. Visual effects, floating figures and the magic of colors in the infinite space of absolute darkness is breathtaking theater experience. The author of the show Theodor Hoidekr has directed several shows of black light theater and worked among others with the greatest film star of Bollywood Abhishek Bachchan in New Delhi. Shadow theater is the worldwide theatrical hit in recent years. Since the times of ancient China when it was performed by magicians as a shadow on the screen using light of a candle flame, a lot has changed. Modern technology offers a combination of projection and shadows of a live actor. Many theater groups stunned the world in a variety of TV talent competitions with their magical shadow scenes. Black light theater HILT comes as the first Czech theater with the whole performance of shadow theater on a permanent stage in Prague. The spectators can see the love story of Cinderella and the prince in the original version.

Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Entertaining! Definitely an A for effort. We were entertained, but in a fun way. The whole situation was fun, and the amateur-feeling made it even funnier.
We would recommend that you have no expectations, because it is not professionals. Yet it is passionate people who wants to entertain you! And they are sweet and humble.
We would give 4 stars, but we do want to inform others, that it is not a professional setting or such.
All in all, fun ameteur entertainment

My friends and I had some time to kill so we decided to see this show, not really knowing what to expect. Super small theater, barely any room for the actors to move around, SUPER over the top interpretation of Cinderella (think chickens, fireballs, roaches, rats, the WORKS), the sound track and backgrounds kept me laughing the entire time. By the end of the show, I honestly had no idea if it was meant to be taken seriously, or if it was a satirical performance. Best and worst 20 euros I've ever spent, but a lifetime of hilarious memories (and videos) to share with my friends!

My husband and I have seen many theatre productions in Australia, Asia and the US as well as on our 5 week trip through Europe this holiday. I have friends who perform in community theatre productions, so I'm well versed in how amateur theatre differs to the professional productions in terms of budget etc. I normally would not give such a bad review, except in this case I wouldn't want anyone else to go in under false pretenses.
Accordingly, I can safely say that this was an amateur show (Phantom), self important and disappointing. Repetitive and sloppy choreography, sometimes bizarre themes and even quite sexist and racist overtones (eg a very outdated take on African tribal culture). The most interesting ideas were laboured and extended beyond our patience.
Clearly the cast was trying hard, but their enthusiasm could not overcome the basic flaws. Also, the 'illusion' of the blacklight was let down by the fluoro costumes peeking through at times, black tights not fully covering limbs etc.
In Prague, there are so many other options for live entertainment, this is not worth the relatively cheap ticket price.

Last ten years I visit my hometown Prague often. Me and my frineds from Germany, we have seen another theatre show also black light and it was very boring. But after this Phantom evening show we have to say: Great! From the beginning to the end, there are so many different scenes! The show is compilation of short scenes with no story. Most parts are about dancing. The actors surprised us when they went down from the stage to the audience. Sure our group of 5 people, each of us we liked another part. But in final I have to say - more shows like this one please! It is "made for people". I was proud to be native Czech sitting there with my German friends. Greetings to all the actors from Berlin :-)

I booked 2 tickets through the get your guide app for tonight's show.
We came by taxi from the other side of town and upon arrival was told by an arrogant man that the show had been cancelled.
We received no notification, we were given a cash refund but I think it was less than we paid (have to check the rate of exchange).
We wanted them to pay for a return taxi, this was refused and then the rep refused to speak with us.
The area is dark and not inviting and it took us ages to find a taxi.
This ruined our last evening in Prague

We reserved tickets for Saturday night, 5 min after the show was supposed to start we were told that the show is cancelled since a group that was supposed to arrive just called and canceled. We were given our money back and sent on our way! No compensation for the big inconvenience! Our Saturday night was ruined! We chose this activity instead of others and of course on Saturday night it was already impossible to book anything else! Very unprofessional!

This can happen in any theatre, we are sorry again for cancelling. But sure on Saturday there are many other shows that starts later than our show. You could ask our friendly crew while receiving your money back. But as we see, to write a bad review to the show you have not seen was more important than to search another activity.

Childish performance (below amateur)
- Lights; very basic. Think of a high school theatre, only worse.
- Musicality; many mistakes were made timing wise, lights didnt work or black light objects weren't on the right place at the right time.
- Choreography; way too simple. Just waving your arms around does NOT make it spectacular. I can assure you that 'beginner dance classes' look better. Also many amateur mistakes, for example: not being synchronized.
- Story; many different random scenes. I think they had the goal to give off a different vibe in each section, but without coherence it doesn't make sense.
This all together makes the black light theatre experience extremely lack luster.
Conclusion: an amateur family business, high school theatre production, aimed for kids only.
DO. NOT. GO.

I do not have words what to say... Sure as the director I can not agree the same as many other visitors love our show - because it is different than classic theatres. This show was double awarded at World Theatre Olympics 2018 - chosen by international comitte from all over the world. But sure, we understand you have your own meaning. We are sorry about that

Imagine that u are in a basement. With a chairs that you have been seated in school 30 years ago. Then very nice people in a very small place can't show you a really light show. It's now even a theater. It's a basement. Also low performance and no choreography. Like my 4 years old niece will do it better.
But really nice people! And friendly. They just have bad place and no creative performances.
I just fall asleep.
So sorry.

Absolutely appalling. I have seen better infant school productions. Lighting was terrible. Props were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Choreography was terrible, the cast were not in time with each other at all.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

It was terrible.
Amateur acting
No variation of shows
Boring and just a waste of money.
It shouldn't even be advertised.

Your review is very hard. When I read the other reviews of satisfied customers, I can not believe to read these words. But sure, you have the right to have your own meaning.
