Address
Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
How to get there

For the bargain shopper ?
Oct 2019
I have always disliked the architecture of the communist era. Built in the mid seventies. It was very popular with the locals back then.

The merchandise here is very "affordable. " It may be the reason that it survived this long, after the opening of the modern Palladium shopping mall across the street.

I bought an umbrella once on a rainy day here, and a warm scarf on a cold day.
It was a convenient and effortless experience.

Stores
Dec 2019
We just had a look around the ground floor of the mall since it was close to closing time. They had quite a selection of different things located on the floor. It looks like there are 5 floors with parking and restaurants as well. The building itself was lit up quite nicely and quite inviting to go into. It seems a bit older than the Palladium across the road.

Great bars.

Kotva is a huge shopping centre in the Old Town, it's not to far from Namesti Republiky, on any holiday I take I detest the thought of shopping but I was more than happy to head up to 5th floor of this shopping centre to visit the wonderful bars called Fashion Klub and T'Anker were my brother and I enjoyed beers out on the bars rooftop terraces taking in the stunning views afforded from these bars of the Old Town skyline, if your into your retail therapy the department store is crammed with all manner of shopping outlets .
Easy to locate on Namesti Republiky, well worth checking out if your into your shopping or you want to visit the rooftop bars.

Pretty much anything you're looking for can be found here. Numerous boutiques and clothing stores. Also, plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. Right in Prague.

Huge multi-floor department store not far from market square.
Jul 2018 • Couples
We saw this place on our map and my wife wanted to buy a few gifts for people back home. I cannot recall how many floors this place has but I think at least 5. It is modern with a very large variety of goods, much like a Macy's or Bloomingdale's. My wife ended up buying herself a new purse of French design but made in Czech Republic. It is a great store with friendly staff people. It even has a coffee and pastry shop.

When it's Raining ...I need an umbrella
Sep 2017 • Couples
We were caught up in the rain. Kotva was the closest place I hoped to buy an umbrella without much effort.
There on the same floor I also found a decent looking shawl in light grey knit, so I grabbed that too.
The weather temporarily changed and I put both things to a good use in Prague.

I don't want to spent anymore time than I absolutely have to shopping when in Prague.
My husband appreciated my very quick decision making - and the merchandize was very inexpensive. I was almost sure that I will forget the umbrella in a restaurant somewhere soon.
I did forget the shawl the next day in a restaurant and a kind waiter came running after me ..as I always say, there are many nice people in Prague:)
I was in and out the store quickly, they had what I needed and it was easy to find ...

I guess it is just like any other average department store ....

Not very great
Sep 2017 • Family
The people working there has poor manners.
First we went to the caffe called cremeria milano the service was very bad and kept glaring at us with no reason.
I lost interest in buying anything after that and just walked out of the store.

Crystal shopping
Jul 2017 • Couples
Found a crystal store on the third floor that has a great selection of chandeliers, and stem ware. We hit it on a sale period (In Europe this set for two to three time a year). Got a great deal on a chandelier for our new home. Total weight is 10kg, and we got a small/medium size one so be aware if you are flying home! The ladies packed it up extremely well.
