Neighborhood: Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

Like in the most of the Jesuits churches in the world there is a beauty and craftsmanship of the highest level. You won't regret Your visit in this place (unusually in Praha - no entrance fee!).
Four beautiful pieces by Ignác Raab (himself Jesuit brother). 5 min walk from Dancing House, located on Charles Square, also on the route the touristy tram #22.
The photos tell the truth.

My twin brother and I were exploring around the wonderful New Town ( Nove Mesto) when we decided to have a have a look around Karlovo Namesti ( Charles Square ) and looking out onto which is one of the biggest square's in the world is Church Of St Ignatius .
Church Of St Ignatius ( Kostel Svateho Ignace ) was constructed between 1655-1677 for the Jesuit Order and is the largest Jesiut church in Europe and named in honour of the patron saint of the order namely St Ignatius Of Loyola.
The church looks amazing with the facade so eye catching ,the gold reliefs beautiful, its just a gorgeous looking church.
Well worth checking out if you're in the New Town of Prague and easy to locate along Jecna.

We were told that the Czech Republic is largely atheist. This Church was built when religion in the country was strong. It was built to honour St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder and patron saint of the Jesuits. The interior is absolutely beautiful with ornate carvings, statues and wonderful rose-coloured marble pillars.

I did not have the chance to see that much because I was running. Churches in Praga is something strictly connected with her beauty. Just enjoy going around and have your head moving around appreciating the beauty of the buidings.

It is one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Prague. I am going there regularly for mass, it is nice place to see, stay there and pray. The masses are celebrated by the priests from the society of Jesus - http://www.jesuit.cz/english.php. There are not many tourists, you can have a plenty of time to walk around, see everything or just pray without being disturbed.

One of the beautiful baroque churches in Prague, you will find this one near Karlovo namesti - Charles square. Somewhat removed from the more famous tourist attractions, it is worth the visit.
The statue of St. Ignatius is on top of the building surrounded by a gold aureola visible from a distant sparkling in the sun. Visit if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed.
There is a nice park nearby.

I am surprised this church isn't more famous, it's in my opinion the most beautiful in Prague and yet it's not advertised, which is a good thing as it means we were basically the only ones inside. The decoration is spectacular, if you're going to visit a church in Prague, make it this one.

This nearly 400 year old church is a hidden gem at Prague. It is richly adorned with white, pink & gold interiors.

We were lucky to have gone inside during Evening Prayers and it was a beautiful experience.

Highly recommend to everyone for a peaceful experience.

In view of the fact that about eight million people visit Prague each year, and that sites such as the cathedral, castle and Charles Bridge are impossibly busy, it was a real pleasure to find that no one else seemed to have discovered the Church of St Ignatius and that I had its beauties all to myself!

The church, built in the late 1600s, is decorated in pinks, whites, and gold, in flamboyant Baroque style, rather like the most sort of extravagant wedding cake - too much "bling", perhaps, for everyone's taste, but spectacular if you like that sort of thing. I do!

A lot to enjoy here - no entrance charge - and don't forget to look up at the statue of Saint Ignatius above the door as you go out of the building. The halo around his entire body was considered controversial in its day as such a halo should only have been used on figures of Christ ...

N.B. This is quite a good church to visit if you have earlier been to the crypt where the killers of Heydrich were shot, as that is a rather sombre place - St Ignatius will lift your spirits!
