This is a 'VR experience' that combines Samsung Galaxy VR headsets with moving seats to in theory create an exciting flying experience through Prague. I like technology, the idea seemed fun, and so I paid the 9 euros for the experience.

The reality sadly, is very lacking. Firstly, the quality of the video is mediocre at best. It is nowhere near HD, and so very poor when compared to current (2016) experiences like the HTC Vive or top end Oculus Rift headsets. The Galaxy VR headset is nice, but it's a level below what is possible with the latest equipment. If I'm paying 9 euros for a 10 minute experience, I want modern technology! So don't expect any immersion beyond what you might get with a Google Cardboard device.

Now - I can look past the quality of the video - if the experience is fun. Weirdly it isn't, the experience is a series of videos lasting about 90 seconds each. The camera moves painfully slow, and at no point did I ever feel 'excited'. When literally strapped into a moving chair I expect a few heart stopping moments! But no, it's all extremely pedestrian. It's like sitting in Ferrari and then doing 25mph down the road, it felt like a tour for elderly people, not an exciting VR experience for young people!

So there you have it, a very mediocre quality video, which at least does allow head movements (but not up too high, you hit a sky box very quickly!), that is in no way exciting.

Now all of this could be forgiven if it was a 2 euro ride in an amusement arcade - but it's not - it's a 9 euro ticket. I felt extremely underwhelmed after the ride, and was in no way excited or thrilled, not for a moment.

This sort of attraction has so much potential, and I think in 3-4 years there will be some great versions out there, but currently I can't recommend this, it's insanely overpriced - boring - and painfully mediocre in quality.

Hopefully in 2016 they can upgrade the equipment and make it more exciting and worthwhile, until then I would avoid. I write this as a massive fan of VR, and was expecting so much more.

Virtual reality meets city tours!!A very nice idea but still lacks of perfection as soon as vr is still a baby!!9 euros for 10 minutes it was ok but it still needs more from technological side!!

I tried with and without my glasses but couldn't see nothing clear. Every eye has her own screen and for they didn't come to one screen or something clear. Every thing was blurred, i could see a little when i closed one eye. But it was not fun and couldn't concentrate. The idea is nice but the quality of the screen sucks.

Dear Osnat S, thanks for your review. The virtual reality HMD’s (headsets) we use are the best on the market and very sophisticated but on rare occasions they can malfunction if treated really roughly by a previous passenger. We check them several times per day to help prevent this type of occurrence but unfortunately we didn’t detect it in time in this case. A staff member should have offered you another seat if you brought it to their attention. Please accept my apologies. Best regards, Martin Ralis (Director FlyPrague).

Going to the FlyPrague palladium mall setup was not enjoyable. Very short and horrible video quality. Using outdated VR technology, only last generation Samsung VR headsets. The video was very blurry and shaking all the time, also very grainy. Also to be blunt the video tour was rather boring. Definitely not worth the money.

Prague has many amazing acitvities to offer, but FlyPrague definitely is not included in this list. The quality of the video is really poor. Instead of paying for this activity, just climb the clock tower few meters from this place. You will enjoy breathtaking views.

I had a really nice time at FlyPrague. It was fun to see Prague from above and I liked that I could turn my head and see 360 degree views. I was also impressed that the staff spoke such good English!

This was a really enjoyable and fun way to experience prague and really quirky. Some people have said it was blurry when watching it but it isn't. My only gripe is that the floor moves so took my by surprise!! :-) By wearing a 3D headset you take a helicopter tour of Wenceslas Square, Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. It takes about 10minutes so not the cheapest thing to do but for me it was unique and we'll worth the money to try a virtual reality flight of Prague. Staff were very helpful and showed us what to do and spoke excellent English. Thank you

The idea is good but the image was off focus. We complained but they could not correct it. So it was money spent in vain! If you would like to try it definitely discuss this.

Dear suner_12, thanks for your review. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the experience as much as other customers but think you will agree not every attraction can appeal to everyone. Virtual reality is completely different than anything else. So different, that someone could have problem to watch the video as well as the other. Btw: This is also the reason why VR is not recommended for children (under 10) because their brain is still developing. I hope the rest of your stay in Prague was suitably enjoyable. Best regards, Martin Ralis (Director, FlyPrague).
