Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

St Martin In The Wall Church is one of the oldest and most historic churches in Prague ,a beautiful church that's just a joy to visit.
Located in the heart of the wonderful Old Town ,it belongs to the Evangelical Church Of Czech Brethren and was constructed between 1178-1187 and was located in the village of Ujezd before this village was enveloped into the growing city of Prague ,it was originally known as Ujezd U Svateho Martina with the church constructed into the walls of the Old Town ,hence the name " In The Wall " .
The architectural style is a mix of styles ,Romanesque ,Baroque and Gothic, it's such an interesting church to view ,so many fascinating features to keep you interested ,my twin brother Stephen and I were pub and bar hopping around this part of town when we chanced upon this beautiful church ,we had a good look around the church before we moved on ,it's easy to locate along Martineska and well worth seeking out.

This pretty little church is located in the old part of the city not far from the Old Town Square and just round the corner from David Černý's ‘Hanging Man’ statue. The stone walls and tiled roof make it stand out amongst the adjoining buildings. We didn’t manage to view the interior as it was closed when we were passing but it's worth a look when in the area.

St Martin On The Wall Church is an absolutely fantastic looking church located in the heart of the Old Town.
Belonging to the Evangelical Church Of Czech Brethren, it's one of the oldest churches in Prague, constructed between 1178 and 1187 in what was then the village of Újezd ,the church was known in them days as Újezd U Svatého Martina with a portion of the church built into the walls of the Old Town, hence the name " In The Wall ".
Originally of Romanesque design up until the reign of Charles IV ,after 1350 Gothic modifications took place, although nowadays what you see is Gothic architecture there are Baroque touches ,the north side of the church is especially noted for its Baroque appearance, these changes occurred in 1779.
The church looks awesome and is most definitely well worth a visit, makes for some great photographic opportunities.
Easy to locate on Martinska in the Old Town ( Stare Mesto ) .

Saw a Christmas concert here and it was lovely. The best part was that the church had the chairs FACING the organ so we could watch - usually the organ is behind you and you can't see what a physical work out it is for the organist. It was great! It was also heated, which is an improvement over most churches in PRG. Also, make sure you read about the history of the church and the neat name!

Intimate classical performance with perfect acoustics.
No heating but the performance was astounding. The audience is small and very close to the performers. Music was uplifting and stirring.
This church is simple and honest, not like the overwhelming baroque frescoes and gold you find in other churches. But for me this made the experience more intense and genuine. It was simple with the music performance of Christmas music, Ave Marias and traditional Czech compositions holding our attention for an hour.
Having been to other similar performances I preferred this venue.

Superb string quartet concert in this small, centrally located, church with amazing acoustics.
Exceptional musicians playing a variety of, mostly familiar, classical tunes. The British contingent should recognise the Hovis and Hamlet cigar adverts featured in this arrangement of Chez and World Music.
Can't praise the musicians highly enough.

The setting is intimate. The musicians were exceptional. The acoustics were excellent. This concert was like putting an exclamation point on an already-outstanding day. The selections were familiar and included some of my favorites. Entire concert lasted just under an hour . . . . so it fit well between a day of sight-seeing and dinner.

If you want glorious and stirring music in an intimate setting with fabulous acoustics, this concert is for you! We went this evening and felt we had never had a better experience. Smetana, Bach, Brahms and much more. Got tickets in the Tyne Church music box office. Every member of this string quartet is a consummate professional. They are to be congratulated and thanked!

We were privileged to be able to sing in this heated church with an excellent acoustic. We were made very welcome in his intimate and very ancient building. It is very accessible and only a short walk to the Old Square.

If you're a Rick Steves fan just be aware that there is no longer a free jam session at 17:00. There is a show at 18:00 for 500kr with a few talented musicians and it goes for 60 mins. We saw one with an organist, a violinist, and a soprano opera singer. The church had good sound but it was pricey for what it was. There are a lot of shows in that area and live music in restaurants.
