The three hour tour flew by in one breathe! Our guide, Susanna, was so prepared, knowledgeable, willing to go out of her way to answer questions and get us the information we requested. My boyfriend and I mentioned that we were interested in the historic Mikvah, and Susanna did her best to have our group stop by there even though... More

On July 17, we began an odyssey we will never forget. We spent three days touring Prague led by Sylvie Wittmann, one of the most charming, brilliant and charismatic guides whose Jewish family survived the darkest periods of Nazi and Soviet occupations. There is no tour company better than Wittmann –Tours to accommodate and personalize any itinerary to the most... More

we took the three hour jewish quarter tour a couple of weeks ago. the young woman who was our guide was excellent. she was fully prepared and could answer almost any question. you could see she puts a lot of effort in her work. now, this is a walking tour, but the area to be covered is very small so... Our guide was Martina and we can honestly say she kept us interested and informed for the entire duration of the tour. The complexity of the situation regarding the camp during WW2 was explained and stories told with a tremendous amount of detail and sensitivity. The town itself has an eerie quiet feel and energy, however the museum, memorial, barracks,... More

We did a 3 hour walking tour of the old Jewish quarter in Prague. Matthew was our tour guide and he was awesome!! He was very personable, real, and super knowledgeable! I'm not big into taking tours and don't normally do it. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this tour! It was well worth it and I feel most of... More

Our first tour with Wittman was a group tour of the Jewish quarter with Matthew. With Matthew's well paced guidance, we learned about history ( Prague's Jewish community), architecture, renown individuals' stories, and Matthew's personal journey. I especially appreciated how (often) Matthew distinguished between what is documented research and "supposed" history. We were so impressed with this tour, and Wittman's... More

We took a wonderful tour of the Jewish Quarter with Malka which had a wonderful mixture of history and contemporary information about the Prague Jewish community. We will certainly recommend Wittmann tours to anyone visiting Prague.

Matthew took us on a very informative tour through 4 synagogues and the Jewish cemetery. His historical accounts with the inclusion of lore were a perfect balance to help convey the life of Jews in Prague, as well as, honoured the suffering they endured. I gained much both in factual knowledge and an even greater appreciation for another people.

My wife and I (and another couple) arranged for a tour of Terezin with Wittmann Tours specifically because Wittmann provides tours with a decidedly Jewish perspective. The tour guide, Vida, was superb. Perfect English, informative, passionate about the history and Jewish heritage of the region. Terezin was very moving and because members of her family were imprisoned there during WWII,... More

We chose to use Wittmann Tours for a day trip to Theresienstadt after reading a recommendation for them in Fodor's travel guide. It was excellent! They are organized, professional, and reasonably priced. Our tour guide was working from the minute we met until dropping us off back in Prague 6 hours later. She explained all about the history of Theresienstadt... More
