Prague remains one of my favorite cities! Petr as always helps to make my trips to this wonderful city the most amazing experiences! His background in social anthropology; love of sharing his knowledge of his city and country; and, kind personality make him a fantastic guide! I have traveled with gay and straight friends and their families over the past 14 years and he has made all feel comfortable and included! A truly wonderful person and guide! (I know, lots of exclamations but all deserved!)

This was a great way to get a personalized tour of Prague Castle. Petyr met us at our AirB&B on time. Knowledgeable and friendly. The information made the sights feel catered to us and he answered all questions - not only about the castle, but about the city as well

Petr did an excellent job of providing us an introduction to the main sights of Prague, particularly the old and new town areas, as well as the Mala Strana. While much of the architecture of the city is beautiful in and of itself, he gave us context that allowed us to enjoy it at a deeper level. This included both long-ago history, such as the Czech nationalism movement that birthed many of the details in the Municipal House, as well as recent events behind many of the David Cerny sculptures around town, and the giant metronome that swings over the hillside across the river from the old town.
While that alone would have made for a great tour, since we expressed an interest Petr also gave us a personal and academic perspective on Czech social dynamics, including gay/queer life in Prague. We also got some good food and drink recommendations, as well!
All in, our time with Petr made our stay in Prague more enjoyable and memorable, and I would definitely recommend a tour with him to anyone interested in the experience I descried above.

We have travelled the world and had tours in each of them and by far Petr is without parallel the top guide we have encountered. Knowledgable, personable, flexible, smart, and filled with stories about the history of the country as well as the changes that have occurred over multuple centuries. To reach Petr, you can either call or complete the form he has on his webpage (check it out because there are multiple options) and he will follow up. And here's a tip-- check your spam account because his first emails ended up there and I thought he was too busy to do a tour. Quite the contrary. We arrived late on a Tuesday night and left the hotel early Wednesday to wander around the city. When we arrived late afternoon there was a note from Petr in our room. He had come to the hotel at 10:00am as he promised in the email I didn't see. I immediately checked my SPAM folder and there was his email. I felt awful and wrote back immediately. I asked if he was available another day and he offered 9:00am the next day-- we confirmed immediately. I was impressed 1) he came to hotel the first time and 2) was willing to come again!
The next day Petr was there at 9:00am and offered a few options based on what we had scene the day prior (so as to not take us there again). He cautioned against touring the castle in the morning since that is when all the tour busses arrive and the venue is crowded. So we began our tour of the town visiting masterful pieces by a local artist, historic sites, and places we never would have seen or found on our own. Along the way, Petr-- a university professor-- wove into the facts rather interesting stories. He admits what is lore but is firm on his facts. And he has a great sense of humor so is easy to have a few laughs along the way. Ok-- a lot of laughs. The best part is he builds on your interests-- and is knowledgable in so many areas that it is hard to get into an area where he does not have knowledge.
The tour lasts at least 3 hours but the time flies when you are in his capable hands. I cannot remember the last time I had a tour that I enjoyed so much, learned even more, and felt as if I could have gone for another 3 hours. The next time we are in Prague, Petr will be the first call to set up another tour. And I suggest you make the same call for your visit. Hell, I would even refund your tour if you are not satisfied-- that is how confident I am with Petr and Prague4Gay.

I contacted Petr based on his wonderful reviews, and he lived up to each and everyone of them. I booked 3 tours, Old Town, Castle and the Jewish Quarter. I was impressed with Petr knowledge of history. I found Petr to be warm, humorous and generous with his time.
Whether you're gay or straight it really doesn't matter Petr is a wonderful choice.
Thank you for making my trip to Prague so memorable.

It was our first visit to Prague for the four of us. Through the recommendation of a friend who has taken several of Petr's tours, I made contact and booked our four hour historical walking tour of Old and New Town. Petr offered to tailor the tour any way we wanted, and his knowledge of Prague, architecture, history, religion and nationalism is truly comprehensive. His English is exceptional, and even my hearing impaired husband was able to listen throughout the tour which is often difficult when traveling in foreign countries.
We went inside buildings, down staircases, through hidden courtyards to find art, and Petr pointed out restaurants or shops that might interest us after the tour was over. In fact, we returned to one store just to buy a pair of rainbow sneakers the next day.
The nicest thing about the tour was that we continued to discuss what we had seen that day over dinner that night and even the next day. Petr shared a lot of information, and this was a tour where the content made an impact on the four of us. It really gave us a terrific introduction to Prague and provided us with a familiarity that made our own excursions the next day much easier.
Petr responds quickly to emails and questions. He offered to meet us at our hotel; instead we agreed to meet in Old Town to start our tour. He truly wished to accommodate our requests to make our stay most enjoyable.
I definitely recommend and would hire him for a different tour then next time I return.

Petr greeted us with a smile at the appointed time and proceeded to take us on an informative, entertaining (and at times moving) tour of Prague. We only had four hours (not nearly enough to explore this incredible city, but it was a delicious taste for a day trip!) and he treated us to a colorful and insightful commentary on art, architecture, social and political history, and highlights of gay hotspots around town. We even took a break from the 80 degree (Fahrenheit) heat in a cafe where he gave us an impromptu presentation on famous queer Czech artists! Would recommend his tour to anyone visiting Prague.
