It is an amazing palace to visit! Not only for its recovered collections, architecture and amazing view, but also because it introduces us an amazing story of royals exiled that one day return and try to reconstruct part of their legacy! It is a tour worth taking, for so many reason!

My husband and I had never been to a classical concert, but all the reviews recommended that we go to the concert and I'm glad wee did. It was one of the highlights of out trip. The museum itself was really nice and I really enjoyed the audioguide. It gave it a personal touch that you don't usually get. Really... More

It may seem unusual to start a review of a palace by talking about its museum shop, but Lobkowicz Palace has the best museum shop I have ever seen. The selections, based on the Lobkowicz amazing collections, are so appealing that my husband and I found ourselves wanting to buy something for every member of our family. Staff members were... The palace is nice and big but only a minor part is opened for public. So i think that for the ticket price you could see more of it.

Fascinating story told by the families descendants. Well worth it and the 1pm concert is ideal for those of us who are looking for a light introduction to classical music.

A splendid building with great views of the city. A truly great art collection - a "must see" for any aficionado. Well planned and laid out. A pleasure to visit. Has a cafe for light lunches (also with great views from the outdoor dining area. Also, afternoon concerts of classical music excerpts most enjoyable.

We just happened to walk by this museum and were so glad we went in! We loved the artwork and especially the musical instruments and old manuscripts. The audio tour is excellent and is narrated by a Lobkowicz family member which made it especially relevant. I highly recommend this museum, it was one of the highlights of our visit to... More

It was great to wander around with the audio and hear the information at your own pace. It was really interesting the information shared and fascinating to learn about.

The Lobkowicz Palace was a disappointment. It's art works are scarce save for a nice Breughal and a couple of Canalettos. There are a couple of scores of Beethoven Symphonies and that's about it.Oddly, the best thing is the view from the cafe, which you can enter without the admission price. All you need to do is buy a cup... More

Dear David S, Thank you for your visit and for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to read you had expected a different experience. Our museum is focused on the history and art collections of the important House of Lobkowicz. Two Canalettos and The Haymaking by Pieter Bruegel the Elder are definitely the highlights of... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
