We visited the Lobkowicz Palace during our trip to Prague, we didn't plan to visit there but we had a free morning and after reading such good reviews we decided to visit and we were happy we did. The Lobkowicz Palace isn't a big museum so about an hour to visit should be enough. I enjoyed learning about the Lobkowicz... More

A visit to the Lobkowicz Palace was recommended to us by another tourist couple we met on our travels and it was a great visit. While located within the Castle complex, you will require a separate ticket as the Palace is privately owned. We first of all had coffee in the courtyard cafe and then proceeded on the audio-guided tour... More

We had a Limited Access visit to Lobkowicz Palace, arranged by Viking River Cruises. It was a highlight of our visit to Prague. The music room defied description. If you can visit, do it!

The museum is at the end of the castle complex. It is well worth a visit to wander around their art, family history, it has pieces that will surprise you from Mozart to Beethoven, Canaletto and so much more. The cafe is great, views from their balcony are hard to beat.

This was our 1st visit to Prague. The city is an enchanting Bohemian fairy tale town. The Lobkowicz dynasty was unknown to us before. IT was fascinating to hear the history of this noble family. The weapons collection is small, but all pieces are in pristine condition. Wrapping up the visit with a small concert in one of the family... More

This unique palace within the Castle complex is special for its narration by the current head of the Lobkowicz family. The story of there 600 year history is amazing. The pictures, china, and arms pale in comparison to the family's music connection and the originals of music by Strauss, Hayden and Beethoven. This is a special and unique tour.

An absolute must see. Plus the story of the Lobkowicz family is inspiring. They have been working to restore several castles against all odds. And, they are prevailing.

We visited Lobkowicz Palace after taking a walking tour of the Prague Castle area. The audio tour was great in giving a perspective across many generations of the Lobkowicz' family history, and many great artifacts. Particularly cool were the collection of armor, and the musical instruments and Beethoven manuscript (as we learned, they were benefactors of Beethoven). Worth the visit.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
