Neighborhood: Malá Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

Tiny venue catering for the tourist market, not the cool jazz club I was hoping for
Feb 2020 • Couples
My lovely wife and I visited this subterranean jazz club one evening during our trip to Prague. It's a tiny place with seating for maybe 30 people at a squeeze. When we visited there were probably around half that many, almost all of whom were foreigners. If you're looking for a happening jazz club packed with locals this, alas, is not it!

The three guys on piano, double bass and drums put on a pretty good show but I'm not sure it was really worth the 200 Kč admission fee especially as one of my local pubs puts on better jazz outfits for free several times a week. I wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend it.

Pleasant surprise!

I came here to have lunch with my girlfriend, we found that the food was really good and fairly cheap too.
The waiter was really friendly and kind.
Here you can find some good music as well as tasty food.
We tried the goulash, the daily soup and the ceasar salad.
Everything was good.
I recommend the velvet beer which was amazing.
Definitely worth it!

It's almost too small for what it's going on inside. The live music is almost bursting out of the cellar when it's played. Very intimate, yet everyone is real close to each other. Once in a lifetime experience, don't miss it when you're in Prague!

Real old school Jazz haunt

Small, dark, intimate. Exactly how a jazz club should be. It’s tiny so book before hand if you’re going on a busy evening. The staff are friendly and attentive and have a great sense of humour as I found when trying to pronounce the wine in the local lingo! There’s a bar upstairs for pre/drinks & a good menu of local foods. You can eat either upstairs or down while enjoying the music. Please note, this is not accessible for anyone with mobility issues as the Jazz bar is underneath the bar down some tight steps.

We enjoyed ourselves at U Maleho Glenn two times while in Prague. Casual and intimate club with excellent musicians and friendly staff. If you like live music it’s a must.

Wonderful little Jazz spot!

We came across this intimate and small little Jazz Club on our first evening in Prague and directly fell in love. Great musicians, various styles and a nice bartender. If you want to discover Prague‘s Jazz scene you definitely have to stop by.

Cool pub.
Mar 2019 • Friends
Without a shadow of a doubt U Maleho Glena is one of my favourite pubs in this most beautiful of cities, a pub I've visited for many years on many occasions, it's a pub that holds so many great memories, a pub I always look forward to visiting.
The pub itself is awesome, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and a basement section were jazz performances are commen, there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, it's just one great pub to visit.
My twin brother and I were here on a Friday evening, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, greeted with a smile by a very pleasant and hard working member of staff who served us a beer each from the Bernard Brewery, beers were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in.
I really enjoy the beers brewed by Bernard Brewery, light, hoppy and unpretentious beer, beer that's very refreshing indeed, it was just so nice enjoying such a delicious beer in such a cosy pub.
We both really enjoyed our beers in here and the great atmosphere so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
U Maleho Glena is easy to locate on Karmalitska, trusty tram No 22 drops you off practically at this pub.
A great pub,one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.

Great concert and food!
Feb 2019 • Couples
In the neighbourhood of Mama Strana, downhill from the castle, you find this friendly jazz club where to have a really great time.

At the pub upstairs they serve a good selection of local beers and what van be considered essentially pub food with a touch of eastern Europe. I had a pork chop with rosemary potatoes, My wife had goulash. Everything was excellent.

Downstairs, you have the concert hall. Be advised: the number of tables is limited so you'd better book in advance. The ticket price was reasonable, and the quality of the musicians outstanding. Pretty long concert as well! Really enjoyed.

On my way back, I couldn't find a uber because the connection was just bad. Staff helped me to find a local cab driver: they were extremely friendly. I loved this place! Will coke back if I'll ever be in Prague again soon. In the meanwhile, you readers go!
