Neighborhood: Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
How to get there
  • Republic square • 4 min walk

A lot of shops and restaurant court on the top BUT nothing properly healthy. There is one cafe with healthy food with two lousy and uninspiring salads who are actually higher in calories than to just eat whatever. Even M&S removed fresh shelves from the store so completely disaster to eat healthy. Only fast food available. Sick.

This is exactly what you would expect in a mall - nice shops, food court, etc. We needed an additional suitcase, and we found one at a fantastic price at a kiosk on the lower level.

The Palladium Mall was our go-to pit stop for quick bites (food court upstairs), coffee breaks, free bathroom breaks, water bottle refills, fruit and veggie snacks (grocery store downstairs, not that easy to come by in most typical Czech restaurants) and of course - shopping! If you're looking for a cool and familiar place to catch your breath, especially with kids in tow, the Palladium could be for you.

This is a beautiful, bright and clean shopping centre with great coffee shops. It is centrally located and very easy to access with most international brands and labels having lovely stores. The service, however, in every store, coffee shop and particularly from the information bureau was appalling. Shop assistants are rude, unpleasant, disinterested and suspicious. Rather shop in W Square if you want to feel welcomed and comfortable in a store.

Rude people… I get it, it’s not a family park but not a single person was friendly with our family of 5 (incl. 3 children)
It’s disappointing.

Perfectly good shopping centre, however most importantly, this is probably the only place in the centre of Prague with free toilets! If you're like we were and never had loose change, then the toilets in the food court (2nd floor, you can get an escalator right up there from the ground floor entrance) are a god-send!

If you have some time left or if you like shopping, this is one of the places to be in central Prague.
A huge shopping mall behind the historal facades of the Palladium Building, including a supermarket in the basement, several (small) department stores, a wide range of shops and a food court.
