Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Great atmosphere, great music and friendly staff. Really enjoyed my evening there, and as a solo traveller it felt very safe. Prague has a lively jazz scene and there's plenty to choose from but definitely recommend here.Visited May 2023Traveled soloWritten May 20, 2023
- jane GLondon, United Kingdom38 contributionsGreat time, fab music and atmosphereWe went to this music club twice whilst in Prague for 5 days. Saw rhythm desperadoes one night and two of that band performing with other musicians the second time. Ace professional and dynamic musicians, lovely atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Booked for one of these nights so had a table reserved and the second time just walked in but sat near the back.Visited June 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten June 18, 2023
- Steven24 contributionsMy happy place!Love this place. This is about my 5th time at the jazz club. Love it. I travel to Prague with business and I always make sure to squeeze a night in here! If you want to forget about reality and immerse yourself in jazz, then this is the place for you. It’s also so cheap compared to the UK. About 10 GBP a ticket and a bottle of wine will cost you the same! Highly recommended !Visited August 2023Traveled on businessWritten August 7, 2023

Really quirky little jazz club. Really great ambience and it is nice and small so you feel like you have front row seats, even if your sitting at the back
There is a bar that also serves snacks.
I can’t wait to return on my next trip 🎹🎵

Very bag person working at enterance and selling tickets, he is manager or owner. He got mad and pushed me and hit my wife with his feet when we complained about our reservation. We paid for it in advance, he tried to get our money again. He was telling us Fng tourist, get out, and was F'ing us. Very bad experiance and he doesent deserve to earn anything! Very very bad!

When we came to the location, we were sceptical, there seem to be no people at the first glance. Then greeted by a very friendly service. Bought the tickets (250czk/person), and drinks (around 100czk/drink) which were okay price. The band was great, the drinks were great. Overall fits the 5 star rating.

We hear the house jazz band on our last night in Praque. Well worth the $12 USD entry price, reasonably priced drinks. And the musicians were top notch. Bonus: it's all in the stone basement of a building from the 14th century. PRO TIP: Have dinner at Restaurace Trattoria by Giovanni a few doors down before the show for delicious Italian food.

Went there tonight at 11:30pm. It was advertised that they were open until 1:00am. Upon arrival the manager asked for 250kc for the entrance fee and said they were open until 1:00am...gladly paid. Ordered a few beers...at the time the staff was friendly. The band was very good. Midnight hits and the band stops playing and everyone left. The manager passes by and I questioned him about charging full fee for half an hour while he knew they were not playing until 1:00am like he said. His first question was where are you from? I tell him Canada...He says oh well...laughs and walks away. I stay to finish my beer and the staff completely ignore me...This place is all about the money...stay away....plenty of other Jazz options around the city with much better management.

AghaRTHA is one of my favorite jazz clubs in Prague. There aren't any bad seats as it is rather small and intimate. It constantly has excellent groups performing. It is a non-smoking venue. Tickets are reasonably priced and can be ordered on-line. However, if you are ordering with a Visa card, be prepared to call their 800 number in the USA if you participate in "verified by Visa." AghaRTHA sells a variety of drinks and a few snacks. It does not serve dinner. Normally, there are three sets; not two. I highly recommend this venue.
