Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

- SK126 contributionsGreat night outThis is the Jazz Club that you imagine. Underground in a vaulted cellar with an intimate atmosphere that will fit about 40 to 50 people. Great staff. Great drink. Tasty snacks. We saw "Hot Line" who were simply outstanding.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 9, 2024
- 25koGlendale, California125 contributionsAn absolute must see in Prague!Tremendous! My best night in Prague! This was the best 300 Kc I spent in Prague. I always seek out some jazz on my solo trips in Europe, but this truly exceeded all expectations. I had the pleasure of watching Stepan Markovic and the AghaRTA Gang. While the sax player was the headliner, it was the pianist Ondrej Kbyrna who totally blew my mind with his incredible, unbelievable talent, along with the mesmerizing percussionist, Imran. It was over 2.5 hours of pure entertainment (totally blew away the overpriced 1 hour classical concert I watched the night before). I only wished I had recorded more video or asked if any CDs were available. Truly the best memory I have from my trip to Prague. Cool venue too. Highly recommend.Visited April 2024Traveled soloWritten April 21, 2024
- Sabine N4 contributionsGeweldige jazz!Another jazz gift in jazz loving Prague! What a great evening. In a fantastic ambiance, in the vaults under the city, we got a fabulous performance of Adam Tvrdy, a trio on drum, contrabass and gitar. Totally blew us away!Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 9, 2024
- Mike RBirmingham, United Kingdom3 contributionsGreat night out.Cost 300kr per person. What do you get? Wow, we visited this place on a Thursday night, wandered in and got a table for two in the middle of a dim cellar under the sreets of Prague, beer and a Prosecco at a reasonable price and listened to a quartet play a mind blowing jazz set. What is clear is that the musicians are 100% committed to their music, every single one was fantastic. Pianist, energetic and creative, drums, immersive and powerful, lead, technically brilliant yet emotional and five string bass, the glue that kept the performance together, the bass is usually the least impressive part of the quartet yet he delivered in spades. The audience was appreciative and impressed, I was blown away with this traditional performance, could have been a cellar in the 50s in some European underground jazz venue. Do not miss.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 14, 2024

We gladly enjoyed a beautiful night with the company of the Agartha gang band, four skillful musicians with very entertaining music. Ordered two pilseners and enjoyed the night with my lovely girlfriend. We had such a fun time, definitely recommended!

Agharta Jazz Club, located in the center of Prague’s old city, is a good place to spend a pleasant evening with a very committed jazz group. It is a small place in a medieval cava, which gives it a special charm, but with a lot of human warmth and delivery from the musicians. Admission is acceptable (300 kronor) and drinks priced within the average Prague. I highly recommend visiting this jazz venue.

We went to this music club twice whilst in Prague for 5 days. Saw rhythm desperadoes one night and two of that band performing with other musicians the second time. Ace professional and dynamic musicians, lovely atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Booked for one of these nights so had a table reserved and the second time just walked in but sat near the back.

Really quirky little jazz club. Really great ambience and it is nice and small so you feel like you have front row seats, even if your sitting at the back
There is a bar that also serves snacks.
I can’t wait to return on my next trip 🎹🎵

Very bag person working at enterance and selling tickets, he is manager or owner. He got mad and pushed me and hit my wife with his feet when we complained about our reservation. We paid for it in advance, he tried to get our money again. He was telling us Fng tourist, get out, and was F'ing us. Very bad experiance and he doesent deserve to earn anything! Very very bad!

Love this place. This is about my 5th time at the jazz club. Love it. I travel to Prague with business and I always make sure to squeeze a night in here!
If you want to forget about reality and immerse yourself in jazz, then this is the place for you. It’s also so cheap compared to the UK. About 10 GBP a ticket and a bottle of wine will cost you the same!
Highly recommended !

When we came to the location, we were sceptical, there seem to be no people at the first glance. Then greeted by a very friendly service. Bought the tickets (250czk/person), and drinks (around 100czk/drink) which were okay price. The band was great, the drinks were great. Overall fits the 5 star rating.
