A wonderful art nouveau building, but the cafe to the left as you enter lives off its architecture, although the teas are good. Beware also that some of the concerts are not held in the main concert hall (ask): very expensive (for Prague) and ours...More

I visited on Dec 12, at 1 pm, with a guided tour in English. The building is very nice, but it was something else that was even better. The guide was really excellent. It was an elder gentleman. He spoke very good English and had...More

We attended a concert in the Smetana Hall which was almost worth doing just to see the stunning art nouveau architecture of the Hall. The concert itself was excellent - a series of classical masterpieces played by the Prague Symphony Chamber Orchestra and demonstrating the...More

We saw a music show here, and while it was advertised as the symphony and it was truly only 8 people on stage, it was still a wonderful evening event. It's worth going early or staying late to check-out the restaurants and bars inside. One...More

The building is standing over Republic Square. Large corner style building with great preserved architecture. Unlike many of the gothic style older buildings this is light. Decor inside is excellent and well looked after. Feels over 100 years old

My wife and I were here on a Gate1 tour. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed the gardens. Municipal House is a civic building that houses Smetana Hall, a celebrated concert venue, in the center of town, next to the Powder Tower. The Municipal...More

Watched our first ever orchestra, amazing architecture and very well organised. We paid for a balcony seat but some people bought cheap seats at the back and just moved to spare seats at the front when it started. Top tip there for you to save...More

One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the
medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and

This is a typical concert hall. About 10 rows back, in the middle and you'll be very good indeed!
