This beautiful, Art Deco eatery shines with history! Beautiful, unique lighting and interesting Windows and wood trim make this space very special! The luncheon, "Tourist Special", cannot be missed! The history of the Hall, where Famous political dignitaries met for functions, is also unique!

Ii always point my friend here as first port of call, go get afternoon tea, with cake in the most beautiful Art Nouveau surroundings. take a peak in at the lifts in the foyer and downstairs to the amazing American bar - you can imagine the long silver gowns and cigarette holders while sipping cocktails, enchanting! The tour isn't expensive... More

The Municipal House had not featured on our "must do" list, but it was well worth a visit. It's very beautiful - I loved the peacock curtains, and the ceilings. It's also functional and well used.

We went for tea and cake in the cafe - it was a very nice experience as I felt like I was in a movie! Beautiful setting, cakes were being shown around in a cake trolley. Cakes were average but it was the experience that counts! We also enjoyed the music that a pianist was playing.

It's well worth the stroll up from the Charles Bridge to Municipal Hall through some of the newer retail precincts, although almost always surrounded by a mix of old world buildings Municipal Hall houses a good tea house and an upmarket resturant, plus a concert hall whose entrance is clad in marble-impressive and well maintained. Unfortunately no tours available when... More

We had the same bad experience as other people: we bought 2 tickets expecting to see a concert in the concert hall. Instead, we were sent downstairs into the basement and then into a small room, we felt VERY mislead. The photos at the box office depicted a magnificent auditorium. We complained before the concert started and the guy was... More

Went to have a look around the building and it is stunning, would highly recommend it if you have the time. Well looked after and really pretty inside.

The building is beautiful, unique, and historic. The guided tour is worth the price (though they do that odd thing where you have to pay additional to take photos). The guide was nice, the tour moved at a good pace: enough information, but never got boring. And the rooms are worth seeing, especially the Mucha lounge walls. Enjoy a drink... More

This was among my top three things to see and do on our two week tour of Berlin and Prague. But, you really need to take the tour! You are taken into many amazing and beautiful rooms in the Municipal House Hall that you would not otherwise see and told about the significance and purpose of each room. By the... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
