About
The Prague Lego Museum not only has the most exhibits in the Czech Republic, but also in the whole world. The museum is completely specialised in the history of this unique building kit, with Lego proudly honoured as "the toy of the century". The museum area of 420 m2 features over 3000 models divided into 20 separate theme exhibits. More than 1,000,000 bricks have been used to create the exhibits on display. Take a journey into the time of the pirates; travel to the era when knights fought, or to a different galaxy that is full of spaceships and the Death Star. Visit Harry Potter's magic world or experience adventure with the extraordinary Indiana Jones. Part of the museum is also a shop where you can find usual catalogue sets, exclusive/limited editions or sets that are no longer produced. Among other things, the store also offers a wide selection of Mini-figures and the possibility of buying loose LEGO® pieces.

Address
Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Underwhelming

There is some nostalgic value for some of the older kits on display, particularly the Star Wars/Space models upstairs, but overall it’s an underwhelming place. Possibly better for families with kids, and there is a shop there as well as the exhibit, but there are far better LEGO-based attractions around Europe than this.

very bad experience

Beware of buying kits directly in the Museum, they have prices for "tourists". So you can pay the entrance fee and even add a bonus in the form of an overpriced kit. Great business, congratulations on the idea !! Unfortunately, reviews cannot be published without assigning at least one star. For me -5

Awful
Aug 2020 • Couples
A huge waste of money, it’s quite literally a basement of Lego, certainly not worth the money even if you’re a huge Lego fan, nothing could make me go back.

Incredible collection - nostalgic trip for lego fans
Feb 2020
I have to admit that I wasnt sure what to expect from the museum.
When I arrived in I had a small air of dissapointment as I was expecting a landscape of lego but was greeted more with a very dense exhibition , and a collection of lego through the ages rather than one off models.
That quickly faded when I started to explore the models and follow the styles through the decades. The completeness of the collection is astounding, theres probably very few models that are missing and theres even models from the 1950s in their original boxes which really round off the whole "journey"
As a museum they could probably do with double the space and more background info on the growth of Lego but still and all, I give it the full 5 stars for being such a great insight into how lego started and developed over the years.
The gift shop has been critisised for being small but in reality the full current lego collection doesnt need a massive shop space when you stack it from floor to ceiling. They also have some of the limited editions of Legoland / Tree of life/ Lego house only available at the theme parks or Lego HQ in Denmark (or EBAY!) - the prices for these though are insane , I only presume they expect someone with more money than sense to turn up and buy those sets !

Good, but not spectacular
The place was good, small though. There was no queue there, so even if we hadn’t bought the ticket we could quickly enter. There is no place for parents to stay and watch their children playing, so staying more than an hour requires patience. From my experience the place targets more the adults who used to play with LEGO, rather than little children. Anyhow, it was not a bad experience, but you don’t miss something from Prague if you don’t go.

Brilliant museum

Quite big with lots of models. Very enjoyable for those who used to have Lego when they were younger like myself, but also perfect for families as well. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed this museum, 10/10 would recommend

Nothing special

It was decent. Nothing special, maybe a bit dissapointing. Kids could maybe get a bit bored. I expected more.
