Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

A bit off the beaten path outside of Old Town, but worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. Nice production of hand-forged bells, key hooks, fireplace tools, and figurines, and some odd clocks. You can catch the blacksmith in person in a booth at Republic Square a few blocks away.

I usually don`t buy any souvenirs during my trips cuz I believe it`s nonsense. This shop made me buy the genuine art. I was really surprised they presented their art in front of me in the blacksmith. I truly can feel the soul of my new amulet. Nice stuff. I`ll definitely come back. Thank You!

I was looking for something special with my friends during our visit in Prague and we found this place. The sortiment of blacksmithing product is so vast that everyone will choose his/her favorite. We have also seen the real creation of such product in reality by the professional blacksmith. I must say it was very interesting and unique. If you are hesitating what to buy as a gift from Prague you can definitely find one here, one more thing to consider, the gift will last forever.

Amazing place with cute handmade metal products. However, for us the highlight was the workshop creating our own dagger and pendant.
The price of the workshop is a bit on the high side compared to other activities in the city, but so well worth it for us.
We spend about 4 hours smithing a dagger and pendant. You will be heating, hammering, and sanding a basic piece of metal to shape it into your very own piece. While there is an instructor to explain every step, you will be actually performing every step yourself.
If you are interested in smithing and have half a day to spare I would definitely recommend joining the workshop!

I am from Germany and enthusiastic about blacksmithing, so I visited some very good blacksmiths and their workshops- Hefaistos is among the very best I have ever seen. They are very friendly and take their time to put their art into objects. Very skillfull they handle the material in flexible yet absolutely free way and achieve great freedom at realizing design. Thank you, I hope to see you again. Best wishes!

This blacksmith was demonstrating his skills, and selling his wares on the old town square on the Monday of our trip. Interesting to watch him working while enjoying a traditional trdelnik with ice cream from one of the market stalls.
