Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Always shop here for souvenirs and also to stock up on their lovely smelling beer hand cream which smells amazing.

A good selection of toiletries which make ideal gifts.

Also love the cute wooden cats, mice and dogs.

I read about Manufaktura as a must-stop while in Prague. I forgot about this when we got to the city so it's a good thing I saw the store on our way to the Old Town Square. Store is charmingly designed, with various cosmetics and wooden toys on display. I went here specifically to try their lotions, famous for having Czech natural ingredients – Czech beer and hop extract.

They said all the products contain pure Czech beer, hops extract and are accompanied by delicious bitter-sweet aroma.

They have testers on their store so you get to try and smell their products before buying anything.

I bought a bunch of Hand Care Cream with Hops Extract and Shea Butter, one of their best-sellers, for about 150Kc or $7 each to bring home to family and friends. I usually just ask about best-sellers in case I'm not too sure what to buy from a store.

This is an excellent place to get an authentic Czech memento if you want to veer away from usual touristy souvenirs.

If Prague is famous for its breathtaking monuments and the lovey food, the same cannot be said for the sub-standard Manufaktura er... beauty products. Manufaktura is not just one shop though, but it's a chain, and you will find shops everywhere, including the Prague Airport.
The shops look pretty from the outside and the inside, and many of you will be tempted to buy something genuinely made in CZ (since sadly not much is produced there, starting with the ugly glassware made in CH but presented as "local"), but unfortunately the creams and soaps on offer are no comparison to what I found in any (and I said any) other European country or US or Asia. The "apricot" hand cream that doesn't smell of apricot at all, the dull wine and beer products, for those in the mood for a drink maybe, or the overpriced soaps that do not even have a decent smell... you don't really need any of that. Are you from the US? You've got your fantastic Bath&Body Works. From the UK? Bless Molton Brown. From Italy? Lovely Erboristeria. From France? where shall we start, the choice is too vast to mention everything...
So, if you are really in the mood for shopping, just go for something else, don't waste your money.

If you're disenchanted with tourists and don't want to work in service/hospitality, then perhaps get an education and work elsewhere.

The lady at the top floor was condescending in both her actions and words. Great products, but unfortunately - I am just not keen on buying from a store which places little value on service.

To make matters worse, I saw first hand how this attendant chided an Asian couple behind their backs. When I complained to another attendant, I just got a smirk.

Horrible first day impression of Prague. Shameful.

I bought the Beer and Hops shampoo and conditioner in downtown Prague. It's not that cheap - the kit, with the conditioner, cost about 21 dollars. The shampoo left my hair sticky, oily and gross; it made me look like I hadn't showed in a week. The smell actually does smell like beer, kinda stale, and not something nicer for a toiletry product - so basically I smelled like I had been drinking. I tried to return the product, and the staff absolutely refused. No sense of customer service, even with a receipt. I was so angry. Don't buy from here unless you're willing to lose money.

One of the few places in Czech with good customer service! I always shop there when I'm in Prague as it's great for present for my friends but also I use their products by myself. You will alway find something to buy there.

I didnt know anything about this brand or store before and it was my first time in Czech Republic, only that on my way I read somewhere about a beer shampoo.. and that's it. On my way home I needed to buy something for my mom so I went into their store at the airport, and I fell in love. It was so pretty and good and affordable! I ended up buying things for my mom, my boyfriend and myself! I have the sensitive face moisturizer, and I am so thankful for this product, been having such a hard time with the weather and dry skin but this one was sooo good! (and I live in Sweden btw) and the apricot lip balm.. so smooth and does not feel like a thick layer just laying on your lips. I just have to recommend these things to everyone!

This shop has a lovely atmosphere, the staff are nice and speak English well, they sell toys, decorations and souvenir, but I think the best part are the cosmetic products. There are so many wonderful products with delicious smells (I loved the beer soap), if I went back to Prague I'd definitely stock on these products again, the quality was amazing! :)

I like these little stores. It is a Czech company manufacturing natural cosmetics. I have used their Beer line, I love it so much. It absorbs immediately and my face feels incredibly fresh. They also have several fruity lines. It is very popular. I always stock up, as I don't like products from companies like Bath & Body Works, which are so full of horrible chemicals and alcohol. Manufaktura has very attractive packaging and makes a great gift. I just like it because it feels clean, fresh and chemical free on your skin.
