One of the most interesting exhibits in Prague, with an underground exhibit of an old alchemists' laboratory. The tour guide was amazing and there was an unexpected twist.:) If you like medieval or occult topics, you'll love it!

A quirky little museum with a fascinating history. The guide was very informative and it was amazing to hear how this place was uncovered and how much is still in place. The alchemists were our first chemists, doctors and metallurgists!

This museum is a bit different. You cannot go in without a guided tour (usually every 30 minutes, better check the site) The tour is not long, but full of surprises inside mediveal catacombs. No more spoilers

This is a must-do if you are into anything weird and wonderful. Fascinating look into a 16th century alchemy lab only uncovered in 2002! Magical place, informative and patient guide. Loved it, was a highlight of Prague... thank you!

One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the
medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and

As I remember there was no elevator. Just an old stair. The floor downstairs is not flat but stoned. It is a medieval basement conserved as it was.

48 hrs in Prague on foot - unusual itinerary advice request! (7 Replies)
Hi there, My husband and I are visiting Prague shortly for our wedding anniversary, we are staying for 2 nights but arriving at 10am on Monday (day 1) and not leaving till 3pm on Weds (day 3). We will be going around the city on foot. We are looking to put together a bohemian tour of oddities and curiosities(!) with some local food and drink tasting :) There is so much to see and choose from and we are not sure what will be the best use of our time. These are some of the attractions...More

I would recommend the Invisible Exhibition, where the visually impaired guides show you the world of the blind. They also throw dinners in the dark. Taste of Prague tour might also be interesting, though probably not necessary. Look at use-it.travel and download the Prague map. These maps are made by the locals and include tips on where to go, especially useful regarding the food. I'm sure the others will write plenty of other tips. Enjoy your trip
