Walking Night Tour - The Dark Shadows of the Old Town (Ghosts of Prague)
365 reviews
Spend a spooky night in Prague learning about its ghost stories on this nighttime walking tour of the Old Town and Jewish Quarter. Hear eerie tales from an art-historian guide outfitted in a historically accurate Gothic outfit. Explore the dark back streets of the city and learn about Prague’s prominent monuments. Because it’s a small-group tour, you have plenty of time for questions.

The kids loved going down into the cellar to see the old secret alchemy lair, sitting below the oldest houses in Prague. The tour guide was very engaging and brought the history to life. It’s quite a short visit but we all enjoyed it. Would recommend to families.

Looks like an unassuming store front but opens up to a long-hidden, recently-found underground lab and tunnel area. The tour guide was great. Very informative. I tend to be claustrophobic, but this was no problem (for fellow claustrophobes).

As with many other museums in Prague, this was a great tour but it seemed over before it actually started. Especially for such an interesting and unique topic it leaves you wanting more. So it seems quite expensive in the end. That being said it's absolutely great look at

Dear CarbonChauvinist, thank you for your review. We are very glad that you liked the tour in our museum, and your appreciation of our tourguide is especially nice of you, so thank you for this as well. You are right, the topic of alchemy is very interesting, broad and complex, so it may seem that 30 minutes is not nearly enough. The tours here are meant to be mainly an introduction to said topic, so that people can do their own reserach later and focus on the part of alchemy they prefer. Anyway, thank you again. We wish you a great day. team of Speculum Alchemiae
