We celebrated the anniversary of my wife with 50 people there. It was non formal and very pleasant event with live music, good food and fun.
Guests enjoyed the space and time spent by talks with friends, dancing or just sitting outside on board with glass of Prosecco, looking round and enjoying the stay. Childern occupied the buffet and the crew continually supplied this with fresh cakes and ice cream for them!
We apprecciated the service of crew of Calypso ship and really recommend such event to others.
Guests enjoyed the space and time spent by talks with friends, dancing or just sitting outside on board with glass of Prosecco, looking round and enjoying the stay. Childern occupied the buffet and the crew continually supplied this with fresh cakes and ice cream for them!
We apprecciated the service of crew of Calypso ship and really recommend such event to others.

We booked for the New Year's eve dinner cruise, and I am happy to say that we were not disappointed, from the initial email till it was time to get off the boat, everything was perfect. They even accommodated friends of ours we met while in Praha, the fact that this other couple did not come was their choice, as Michaela answered my email and arranged the seating withing minutes of my request. Seated on a table for 4, food was excellent and in abundance, and they kept replenishing the sweets table till the very end of the cruise. A bottle of prosecco for 4 was more than enough . Beer and soft drinks liberally served in the all inclusive. The cruise itself was very pleasant, and they were on the spot near Charles bridge before midnight so that we could enjoy the celebration of the new year. A once in a lifetime experience made even better by the company and the crew. The boat we were on, the Taurus has large windows so you literally miss nothing. Hopefully we would return to Praha and this time we would definitely take a daytime cruise, with the same company . Thank you all for a fantastic experience.

Amazing New Year´s Eve in Prague! We were seated at a private table on a boat named Taurus with nice wooden artefacts around.
Fun evening with tasty food, there was also a wide choice of other beverages in addition to the all inclusive package we had that included wine, beer and soft drinks. Pleasant music was playing, some other couple started to dance and so did the back part of the boat which was a surprising moment for us, yet not disturbing. On the contrary, we joined this friendly bunch of people to celebrate the New Year. Many thanks to the crew which truly did an excellent job.

I would have given this a 1 star if it hadn't been for the crew on the night, working hard to make the NYE dinner cruise more enjoyable.
I booked this for my wife and I as our first visit to Prague and wanted to make it special.
The problem started when we boarded and was shown to a table that was set for 4 people and then was told that our romantic evening was to be shared with 2 strangers (who were also shocked by the arrangement as it was their wedding anniversary).
We were not the only table with the arrangement and subsequently the staff were met with angry and frustrated customers from one end of the boat to the other and trying to appease and resolve the problem, which was impossible and the booking people or owners should not have left this to these poor people.
You make a booking as 2 people, you expect a table for 2 and at no point during the communication prior to booking was it ever mentioned that tables were shared or I would not have gone ahead with the cruise.
I fully understand the need for businesses to make money and maximise their occupancy but this was ridiculous.
It was only due to some people leaving the boat in disgust, that we ended up with a table to ourselves, which should not have been the case.
Due to the problems at the start, the cruise was 30 minutes late at leaving and therefore the fully inclusive package was reduced by 30 minutes, without any compensation.
In saying that, the staff were excellent in making sure we were looked after and drinks were topped up immediately (not like some other fully included deals).
The buffet was good, although it would have helped if the leg of ham had been cut up for the patrons as this as very messy and slow, leaving it to each individual.
The night was tainted by the initial experience but due to some of the people we met on the cruise and after the cruise it was a good night.
Tip, tell people up front and don't deceive them with a lack of information.

New Year's Eve dinner boat with live DJ. Everything was great. The personnel were all smiling and super friendly, the food was top, the DJ was perfect...it was a fantastic evening!!!! The ambiance was unique: we really had the feeling of a family party. Thanks to the personnel, the guests were relaxed, we could ask for our favourite songs and had room to dance If you are looking for a super chic fancy cruise or heavy party this isn't for you. But if you're a 30+ couple/group wanting to unwind and have fun and eat well, this one is it!!!

We took 3 hours long boat trip with a business dinner. We were 60 persons. It was great. I love shining evening Prague. The dinner was delicious. The crew did fantactic job. I enjoyed very much the pianist who played many nice songs. Our tour guide proved to be an expert of Prague history. We learned many interesting details of Prague.

Fast, fair and nice negotiation from the CEO before the event. Very helpful and accommodating crew throughout the cruise. Great food and music, excellent guide.Our international partners were very satisfied and that is why we extended the cruise by an hour. This ship has a tradition and charm that new modern ships will never have.

Review of Gate 1 Travel 12 Day Danube River Cruise with Prague
Nuremberg to Budapest October 1-12, 2014
I booked this trip over the phone with a knowledgeable and efficient Gate1 agent. Months later a drastic flight change close to our departure date occurred and was immediately resolved to our satisfaction by him.
In Prague, a Gate1 representative was waiting for us upon our arrival and escorted us to our beautiful, 5 star, Art Deco Imperial Hotel in the city. Gate1 tour managers were there to orient us and to get us settled into our lavish hotel room. The Prague city tour and the optional ones to Terezin and Cesty Krumlov afforded a good overview of the Czech Republic landscape and history.
After 3 days we traveled by bus to begin our dazzling river boat cruise. Gate1 tour managers were always available for our every need be it informational or for personal comfort. It is amazing how 130 guests and 40 crew members can be spaciously accommodated on a well-designed boat! The boat was spotless; the food and on board instruction and entertainment, excellent. Even late in the season the tour managers and entire crew of the Amadeus Royal were unfailingly enthusiastic, friendly and attentive.
There is substantial walking (cobblestones) involved on this trip but you can pace yourself and see so much during the provided city tours and through self-exploration. There is a nice mix of programmed events and free time.
The Gate1 Travel Danube River Cruise was a dream and very relaxing. If you want a happy, carefree and affordable vacation go with Gate 1 Travel and you’ll come back. We already are planning our fourth adventure with Gate1 Travel!

First of all can I say I myself have read tons of reviews about different dinner cruises in Prague and I found they were very mixed reviews and as this was a special occasion ( my girlfriends birthday and first with me ) I wanted to really push the boat out (pardon the pun) I did a lot of research and found there is only one La carte luxurious dinner river cruise in Prague, there's loads of buffet style ones, which I will not comment on, as I have not been on myself. So I went ahead and booked this one, which for Prague was quite pricey, but believe me when I say it's very worth spending the money, also for an extra cost you can upgrade to the gold seating, which has panoramic views from front of boat, only 5 tables, which are separate to other diners, making it a lot more discreet and romantic. On entrance we were given a glass of champagne and shown to our table and as we were there a bit early got to pick our table, so picked the best one there obviously, right at the front. You get a 3 course La carte meal, one bottle of wine, a glass of champagne and unlimited beer or soft drinks and the 3 hour cruise for a total of £136. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was amazing and perfectly timed with the cruise and the cruise was lovely, seeing all the sights like St Charles bridge, the castle and lots of pretty views. My girlfriend was blown away my how romantic it felt, some massive brownie points scored lol. I could not fault this cruise in any way. If you cannot found this cruise online and already in Prague go to Vltara bridge, pier 5 and there is a booking office and the boat leaves from pier 8. Your choice, but if you go gold I would dress smart personally. Hope this review has helped, but I really can say you will not be disappointed by the cruise.

This company offered a wonderful river cruise in Germany with the tour starting in Prague and ending in Paris. The total experience was marred by events that happened before the cruise.
We were given an opportunity to book optional tours online before the date of departure. This I attempted - only to get a message that my card was invalid. Since I knew there was nothing wrong with the credit card, I phoned their helpline and an agent took the $822 from my account and then told me that he couldn't book them either. On checking with his supervisor, I was told I would be able to book the excursions on the ship. Meanwhile, it took a week to get the $822 back into my credit card account.
Once on the ship, we could book the excursions - but they cost us over $100 more than they would have if we had booked them before the trip. Needless to say this does not seem to be the way a reputable company should run their business.
As for the trip itself, all went well once on the ship. Food and accommodations were excellent and we had a program director named Stefanie who was a amazing.She was with us from the beginning of the tour in Prague until the end in Paris and she not only made sure that everything ran smoothly but she entertained us with numerous anecdotes.
In spite of this, I would take caution with dealing with Viking Cruises again just because the initial dealings left a bad taste in my mouth.

There is a combination of transportation and either walking or cycling. You do have the choice to either stay on the boat when docked, take a tour or set out on your own. It's very flexible. There are also gentle walking tours for those that are not as mobile or capable of a more vigorous walk.
