Praha is a city of churches, most of them in the central parts of the city. However, near the Metro station I.P. Pavlova you will find the impressive St. Ludmila church, dominating the small park in front of it. I saw the church when coming out of the Metro and the two towers were like a magnet. Inside you found just the calmness you expect from such a huge structure and although there were other visitors you could sit down and enjoy the interior in complete silence. You forget the busy city outside and you leave with a wonderful memory.

Beautiful from the outside especially with the colorful masses of flowers leading towards the church. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry and did not have time to admire the inside this time. There were many people sitting on the benches enjoying the sunshine, with kids playing nearby.

While you may not find this church in many guide books this is well worth visiting. Just a short distance from Wenceslas Square at the museum end it is very easy to find. We came across this church by accident as it was only a short distance from our hotel. The stained glass windows are beautiful and for tis reason alone it is worth a visit. Inside the church when you sit down you can feel that God is there with you.

This is a very beautiful cathedral. Our guide said that there is no point to go there and it is very far from the tourist center, but our hotel is not far away, so we reached this church on the way home. And it was not in vain. It is equally beautiful outside and inside.

We don't understand why no one of tourist guides wanted to lead us to this church. It is beautiful outside and inside! It was a great idea to go there by ourselves!

This church looked lovely from the outside- and the square outside is nice. Unfortunately despite the front door being open the inner doors were shut.
I wasn't very impressed as it said to please not come in during mass, but no mass was taking place and it wasn't obvious why it was shut- there was no-one to ask. Two other groups of people got there the same time as us so the church missed out on a few visitors.
From what we could see it looked very nice inside so I do think it is worth a visit.

Namesti Miru isn't a touristic destination, we just happened to be staying right there. The square is pretty, and really used by the locals. There were always couples and people walking their dogs. It is also a station for both the tram and the metro, what makes it a great place to stay, if you're looking for something off the crowded touristic center.
