This place can provide you beautiful environment for a break or a minute of relax in a busy Prague. You can see trees, statues and animals as well (fish, owl,peacocks..). Although it is sometimes full of tourists, the atmosphere is really peaceful.

Although we were looking for the gardens, the entrance wasn't obvious. So we accidently found the gardens after walking through a metro entrance at Malostranska. It was a great afternoon walking the gardens and enjoying the views. Plenty of peacocks, water features, fish, and of course gardens. There is also a drip wall located at the rear of the gardens... I would highly reccamend stopping by these gardens when over in the lesser quarter or after visiting the castle. It's onIy a few minutes walk from the large square that houses st. Nicholas cathedral. was surprised how nice they were as I missed visiting it on my last trip to Prague. The gardens are well manicured and beautiful. You can... More

I didn't even know these gardens were here until the last day of my visit but I'm certainly glad we found them! On a sunny day this is a very pleasant place for a short walk, with fountains, statues, peacocks and fish. You'll see the senate building, an interesting grotto and there are plenty of places to sit. Best of... More

The Wallenstein Palace Gardens were nice, but not as large as we expected. The peacocks were one of the highlights.

I stumbled across Wallenstein Palace Gardens - it is surrounded by a high wall and I saw a tour group walking out of a gate, so decided to see what was behind the wall and pleasantly surprised to find these beautiful gardens. They are very beautiful and serene. A nice random find! I went in April and the weather was... More

Feel like a king and relax, walking on a terrific garden like the ones you see only in movies. Enjoy the lake, the green, and feel the gentility of the place.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
