Palace area and St Vitas Cathedral tours are excellent, especially with a Palace Guide. Visit to the Golden Lanes interesting.

This attraction sort of sneaks up on you as you are viewing the castle. But the cathedral is dramatic and certainly worth your time.

This was definitely one of the most beautiful cathedral we’ve ever seen, both inside and out. Visiting the castle complex on a Sunday morning meant that we had to wait until after the services had happened before we could go in; and while it opens at midday, the queues were ridiculous then. However, we returned around 2.10 (having been to... More

If you are travelling to Prague this is one of the ''must see'' attraction in town. The architecture is amazing. As a tip: there is a ticket that you can buy that includes the cathedral, Golden Lane and some other museum, ticket is available 2 days, so you can enjoy it

Huge cathedral. Lovely stained glass, lots of photo opportunities, but no photo could do it justice. Would definitely recommend a visit.

This is an absolute gem in the city of Prague. So glad that I got to appreciate this. You do not need to pay/book, it is free to view and go inside. But the sight is priceless! The best Gothic architecture I've ever seen. The stained windows inside the cathedral are amazing, the best I've ever seen. It was very... More

I was amazed by atmosphere near cathedral. The cathedral is about 600 years old building, really nice and creepy. Definitely go inside.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
