Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

This place was amazing from the inside and out. It's hard to explain in writing. Definitely stop here while in Prague. So many great spots in the area to see.

It was very nice to be back after 40 years to to see extra chairs in the church. Last time I was here, the churches were barely attended. This is a great example of a Gothic Church that was done over time adn you can see different influences as you work through the church.

Some amazing stained glass, Some not as old as you might think, but all very nice. Lots of symbolism and stories too. For example, one door has a saint and below the said is how they were martyred. Lots of saints through martyrdom it seems in this area.

This is a must place to visit in Prague, but you will need a ticket if you want to see the whole church. The ticket is part of the Prague Castle entry fee. Tickets can only be purchased on site and Credit cards are accepted. Get there as soon as it opens to avoid the crowds and the annoying tour guides.

This was a beautiful cathedral. Definitely worth a visit and quite unique. I wish I had gone to a concert in the evening to listen to the organ.

This is one of the more impressive Cathedrals in the world, and best in the former Bohemia. I used the Rick Steve's tourbook so did not pay for a personal tour.

We took a trip here on a hot day, a beautiful walk around the cathedral (actually the highlight of the castle tour)

One of the best cathedrals I have ever been to. Similar to Sagrada Familia in Barcelona but this is also extremely affordable. Good student discount as well when done as part of the Prague Castle Circuit (ticket includes Golden Lane, this Cathedral, St George's Basilica and the old royal palace). All for only 150 CZK

Didn’t look around the Cathedral itself but I visited the observation tower, which offered virtually the best views of the city. Cost around 160 koruna, 80 discounted. Money was well worth it - the vantage point is unbeatable, although the windows do have rail guards.
