It's a must do in Prague. Also there's no entry charges which is great so it is perfect for budget travellers

Realizing that building this cathedral almost took 600 years it's definitely one of the highlight of Prague. You can take beautiful pictures both from the in- and outside!

A stunning building from the outside but unfortunately, the queue for entry was too much to endure on a baking hot day.

Prague's castle is one of the main highlights of the city and St Vitus cathedral is located in the castle itself. Its a very very old building but beautiful architecture

one of the greatest cathedrals of europe. Full of history. A very impressive building. But further information like audio-guide or personal guide recommended.

You must see this building. Inside and outside is both impressive. You can take photos from around the cathedral or inside.

We had bought a 250kc ticket for Prague Castle so we got to walk round St Vitus Cathedral. The modern stained glass windows were beautiful, unfortunately in August the place was packed so it was a little hard to be able to take the time to fully appreciate it. Definitely worth seeing, but in peak season viewing for free maybe... More

when you're there buy a multiple ticket which can take you up the stairs for the view. Take your time to have a decent visit at the Cathedral

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
