Well worth a visit, and much else to see in the Prague Castle environs - you can spend a whole day here. Good transport access but worth the walk up to enjoy the views.

This church sits on the hill overlooking the Prague valley and is spectacular. It was crowded on a weekend so go there during the week if possible. The Palace and grounds were interesting and we ate at a vineyard just below the church, a block or so that had a wonderful view and good food.

A splendid place ti visit. Best features - well, there are lots, but I particularly liked the stained glass, and the tomb of St Wenceslas (No he wasn't a king - that song got it wrong!)

Beautiful ghotic cathedral, we went in for a few minutes, it's not big and as I understood there is no tours that really talk about it, so don't plan to be there for long. It's beautiful and it's recommended to get in.

The cathedral is among the most impressive cathedrals anywhere in the world and is a must see in Prague. Amazing stained glass windows throughout and numerous attached chapels. Great associated history as well. You can view from the entry for free but worth it to pay. The audio guide is great, especially with YOUR earphones. It is hard to hear... More

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Although you may have to wait for a while to enter, it is well worth the wait. I must say that his is probably the must stunning cathedral I have ever been in. I would visit again if I ever return to Prague.

It is a big beauty, a great, significant symbol of faith. Gives Prague castle a significant character and serve as a major landmark. This cathedral will never fail to inspire awe. The roof top is embellished with pinnacles, figures and gargoyles. The inside is also just as awesome.

This is a really cool gothic cathedral that is a must visit while in Prague. Lots of people though! Expect to wait a while in line and be prepared to go through a thorough security check.

Thank Sean T

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
