St Vitus Cathedral is a huge building and one that is beautifully constructed. You could spend hours around it gazing at its details! Try to go and check it out if you're in Prague!

Absolute must see, and I am not in any way religious, but you don't have to be to be able to appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship that makes up the cathedral. The colours in the stained glass windows are phenomenal! Free entry, and they still have services. Must see!

St. Vitus Cathedral is in Prague Castle. It is free to enter but you must buy a ticket to see the alter. Beautiful stained glass in the cathedral.

This is the main attraction inside the Prague Castle. It is a huge cathedral with many paintings and sculptures inside. It makes me think of how people and royalties can be so inspired or motivated to do such a marvel of architecture.

After having been to 14 different countries other than home, this is by far my favourite building out of all that I've seen. Highly recommend arriving for sunset.

I had just been to Notre Dame in Paris a few days earlier, which is magnificent, but St. Vitus Cathedral was more impressive in my opinion. You can still see a lot of the cathedral without having to pay the entrance fee which allows you to go deeper and see the side chapels.

St. Vitus Cathedral is a beautiful site to see. This particular cathedral reminded me of the Sagrada in Barcelona, Spa. The architecture is beautiful.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
