Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

We visited a thursday and we booked a table in advance to make sure we should have a spot. When we arrived we were the only ones. In total we were maybe 9 so not really a rush for the seats.
It costs 400 to enter and see the band play. 20% discount if you are a student. Semi expensive drinks list. The service was alright but not tipworthy.
The musicians were talented and technically good but they played a jazz style that wasn't entierly my cup of tea, but that is not why I only give 3 out of 5. One of the reasons was that between the sets they played Abba and other pop music. I like pop music and Abba but as a jazz Club they should stay with in the genre to keep the ambiance. Also the session was played way to loud. I understand the need for a bit of power but not when you wished that you brought earplugs it is too loud.
So we had a nice night but there is room for improvement!

A little disappointing, lack of atmosphere on a Friday night only 9 people in the club, in what is a lovely venue. Beer on the expensive side for Prague. Trio was good while playing covers, but own compesitions were grating and pushed us into leaving, shame as 400c each to get in. Food was good and basic pub grub.

A wet night but for part of the evening I was the only patron. A bit difficult to party with one person.
Sets were a bit disappointing (Eva eminger jazz band). Would have been better if she has sung more.
Interesting cellar venue, not too sure about the scaffolding for the mezzanine floor.
Beer quite expensive compared to other nearby bars (x2).
Not really worth the effort

Terrible and brief experience at this “club”
My boyfriend and I spotted while exploring Prague in the evening stroke after a lovely meals. He loves jazz so we stopped in to relax and have a drink or two and enjoy some music.
We walked in and an older couple followed us it was unclear where we were suppose to go as nobody was around but we finally found were the music was coming from and the other couple and Us found seats up some rickety steps.
I started looking at the cocktail menu as I was looking forward to a nice drink and I noticed a man started to my boyfriend o couldn’t hear what was said as there was live music.
My boyfriend then told me that we had been asked to leave.
I didn’t understand why.
With in seconds of being there.
Apparently we had to pay for entry.
Well there was nobody at the entrance and yeh other couple that walked in at the same time also didn’t pay anyone and were not asked to leave.
The man didn’t even talk to the other older couple.
There were no signs saying you had to pay.
I felt like we were picked on for being young and alternative.
If you want us to pay for entry sit at the door and at least have a sign. There was no indication anywhere it was a pay for entry event. (50czk Which seems ridiculous as it was just a cover band) I too am a live event promoter but I sit on the door to my events and make it very clear you have to pay for entry.
I then also are not rude to people willing to spend money.
We were going to spend money on drinks but didn’t even have the chance to.
The band weren’t even playing jazz music and the whole place was dingy and smelt bad.
Poor and would not recommend.

We reserved a table here (the day before we reserved a table for 4 persons 2130) , but when we came they had given away our table. Very disappointing as we arranged the day after the reservation. Also when we came the host refused to understand our situation even though we saw our reservation in his book and he was super arrogant and rude. Also another couple didn't get their reservation table and got their night ruined.

They publish a brochure for this club which lists up coming acts for the following couple of months.
The listing for that Friday night was for Luboš Andršt and having read some very good reviews of him decided to go along that night to hear him play.
Arrived that evening to find that he was in fact not playing that night, much to the obvious amusement of the staff and manager a change to the schedule had occurred, so instead, there was some other blues band booked.
Knowing that it was too far to walk to the Reduta Jazz club (found out later that Luboš was playing there that night) paid the cover charge and checked it out.
What a mistake, they were awful, they completely massacred some good blues standards, the lead guitarist although showing occasional flashes of prowess would pad out his solo excursions with extended noodling, the bass players solos were basically the same for every number. Best of all the female lead singer who had planted herself on a stool accompanied by an animated wiggle which looked silly, she should throw away the stool (all apologies if there is a sound reason for needing a stool to sit on), and couldn't sing! Initially though she was singing in Czech, but after carefully listening to a couple of well known songs, worked out that it was english but she was styling so badly it was rubbish.
Looking again at the brochure after leaving, noticed that Lubros seemed to be almost a resident performer at the club. Strongly suspect that this is a ploy to drag in a few unsuspecting punters and subject them to the last minute change in the program.
Wouldn't have minded so much if they had actually booked a half decent act.
To be avoided by music fans.

Visited club to take in some live music to break up the typical Prague night scene. The cover charge was way too expensive for the quality of the act which was very poor - with lots of amp feedback. The drinks were expensive on top of the cover charge. The cocktails were not very nice. The only saving grace is that the beer was fresh and cold. Overall the whole experience was a waste of money and time.

Second jazz place we visited in prague and were very unimpressed again. In our mind jazz means classy stylish, not brick and dirty. Sorry

We had a lot of fun with Charlie Slavík's band playing rock'a'billy. The place is small and cosy, great atmosphere and the music makes you want to dance.
