I could spend hours just walking around Old Town. Between the people and the buildings, it is fascinating.

I just loved the everything about Prague! The old town is wonderful with cathedrals and places to sit outdoors and eat, when we went the weather was perfect. It is a wonderful bustling atmosphere - but at the same time serene - perhaps it is the beauty that makes it so!!! GO! GO! GO! It can be as expensive or... More

No one can go to Prague without visiting Old Town can they ? So no need to say that this is a must see area. It is nice to wander around in the early morning before the throngs of tourists fill the streets. Walking in side streets can help in midday if you feel overwhelmed by crowds. I was there... More

Another stop to see during your time in Praha! Highly suggest coming here and checking out Old town. There are hidden gems around every corner. Make it to here and around the corner you can find the famous Astronomical Clock.

Excellent trip. will love to come back to Prague. you can visit most of the places on foot if you get down to one of city metro station. lovely people and very helpful. Be careful who might offer you excellent exchange rate on roads. they might give you belarus or some other currency instead of local money.

It's like being back in time ... Hansel and Gretel Country! we watched people get married, while drinking at one of the many outdoor cafe's and restaurants. The clock chiming in the square is well worth the wait.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
