If you are in Prague it would be difficult to not visit this area as it is in the centre of town and is near to, or contains, other sites that should be seen. We visited in December and the square was filled with a Christmas market and a fantastic Christmas tree. It is especially attractive at night with all... More

We really enjoy Old town. There is a lot of interesting places, museums or shops. Only one minus is that it is really overcrowded specially with Russians.

Love the architecture in the old town square, busy even in January, and could have spent hours looking at the architecture if it wasn't so cold!

We had a chance to see Old Town Square under the snow cover. It is stunning and simply charming. To get the best view I recommend to go to the nearest hotel "U Prince" get the elevator all the way to the top floor terrace and enjoy your coffee or dessert with a glamorous view you will never forget. Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
