The Old Town Hall is one of the most significant monuments in the Czech Republic. It was established in 1338 as the administrative seat for Prague's Old Town. Now, it is mainly used for the ceremonial purposes of the capital city, Prague. The historical town hall consists of a set of five medieval houses, the corner of which is adorned with a historical astronomical clock, a gothic oriel window and a massive rectangular tower. The lookout gallery on the town hall tower offers the most beautiful view of Prague. A tour of the historical halls in the Old Town Hall is a unique experience. The expensively decorated rooms date from various periods and are examples of the remarkable development of the town hall complex. The guided tours in various languages are organised in half-hourly intervals.

Thought the clock might have been a bit more of a sight to see but nice none the less. Avoid the ham scam in the square. Google it

Anywhere in Old Town square is beautiful! But the Astronomical Clock is something else.. Everything about the clock is pretty cool, love every gothic details about it.. Knowing that it was installed during 1410 and still works is just mind blowing for me!!! It's usually crowded here so just be mindful of your belongings. Its a must see!!!

Beautiful to see. The clock does ring on the hour. Crowds to stop to see but the ringing is nothing very exciting to see. Take to opportunity to enjoy the square while everyone is at the clock.

No words to describe it ! I just can say that it's a dream. As it's located in the middle of Old Town Hall, wherever you go, you'll pass for this treasure several times. I found myself looking it so many time as beautiful as this clock is. Ingenious, brilliant, a master piece, a legacy for generations !

Saw a crowd gathering in a square and we weren't even sure what they were there for. We then saw the clock, which I had heard a little about, and waited jusy a few minuted for it to go off. It was interesting, especially since it is quite old, but nothing of particular note. Something to check off the list when in Prague.

This is on the hour every hour and if in Prague you must catch it. Its so old but beautiful and the show on the hour is a little treat, i love the skeletal bell ringer. Its like somthing from a fairytale.

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
