The ambience in the daytime and at night is different. During the day, street performers perform music or acts on the square. During the night, the square was quiet. I spent my last night quietly in the square. I was sitting on a bench in front of Jan Hus Memorial, drinking a can of beer, and enjoying the night. I... More

There is so much history and beauty in the Old Town Square. From the statue of Jan Huss to the clock tower and crosses marked at the church for the Christian martyrs. Beauty everywhere and fun food.

Must see the old Town Hall with its tower and astronomical clock, and the Church of our Lady before Tyn. Can also climb the townhall tower, for wonderful views.

Vibrant meeting point for many people. A large open area with lots to see and do. We were passing through so did not try any food outlets

We stayed at a hotel in this square (Old Town Square Hotel) and spent a lot of time here. It is very lively with musicians playing most of the day anything ranging from a group of 4 or 5 musicians to a single piano player. It was very nice to sit at one of the outdoor cafes and listen to... More

Stunning scenery all around. Plenty cafes, bars & street food for all. Street entertainment is great. Enchanting when dark.

The old town square was beautiful, surrounded on 4 sides by gorgeous historical buildings. When going in the early morning while it was still quiet, it was especially beautiful.

just take an hour without running anywhere, without planning where to go, and simply sit in the main square, maybe with a hotdog or something else (but not inside of the restaurants) and just watch this amazing beautiful square, the Astronomic clock, the statue, the almost taking from a fairytale towers and the people. .never done it before, but it... Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
