When in Prague, come and visit the delights of the Old Town Square, from organised family events, wooden stalls selling food, beverage and souvenirs, what treats are in store for all of the family.

This is one of Prague's best. A big square in the heart of the Old City with a lot of street performers, beautiful buildings, churches and restaurants. This square has been the site of many historic and political events during its long history. On the north side of the square you have the lovely St. Nicholas Church on the left,... More

In my opinion, Prague is the most beautiful city I have ever been to. Old Town Square is the perfect place to start a visit. I took a walking tour the first day and then went on my own after that.

If you love to people watch you must spend time in a cafe here (and there are many) Beautiful building with wonderful architecture. This city is quite charming and very crowded. Don't miss the Astrological Clock which goes off every hour on the hour. Get there a few minutes early to save your spot - it gets crodwed. Wear comfortable... More

The area is gorgeous and filled with tons of tourists. Prague is filled with beautiful buildings and so much history...this area ok. I love Prague...all my reviews clearly indicate this. Old Town Square is mostly walking only with very little street access for cars. I needed transportation to get back to the Four Seasons from Old Town and I was... More

We love The Old Town Square. Its the heart of the city of Prague. The lively square is lined with magnificent buildings in different architectural styles, from Gothic to Baroque.

History, fountains, cobblestone streets, horse and buggy rides, cathedrals and European beauty. A lovely time walking and experiencing the sights and sounds.

Another must go spot in a Prague visit... rather obvious. Take some time to really look at the buildings in the square and reflect on all that they have seen over the ages. A real gem of a square that was not damaged in WWII like so many other squares in Europe that had to be rebuilt. There are many... More

Old Town Prague definitely delivered with its amazing character and architecture. Just keep an eye out of your surroundings especially when the area is over crowded. We will be back!

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
