Nice for souvenirs

Nice prices if you wanna get some souvenir and stuff. Most of the stands offer the same items but you can find some nice stuff...

Havelske Trziste (Havelský Market) in Prague’s town center has it all. We were strolling through Prague and happened upon this market. Besides souvenirs (mostly geared to tourists), you can find fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, leather goods, toys, dolls, jewelry, and other arts and crafts. The location is pedestrian-friendly so you don’t have to worry about cars or other forms... More

A regular local market with art and everyday items. At Christmas the locals bring out more gift items and ornaments. Different from the other Christmas markets in Prague, which tend to be fairly the same. A simple stroll around the market can take 20-30 minutes; add more time for shopping.

If you are looking for fresh fruit, this is a place to go (go on the side of the market farthest from Wenceslas Square). Aside from fresh fruit, there is not much to see here. It was like a flea market (used electronics, old toys) mixed with tourist items (Christmas ornaments, affordable marionettes of questionable quality, postcards, magnets). Each tourism... More

A traditional market offering fruit, vegetables and household goods for locals and an excellent choice of souvenirs for tourists, all at sensible prices. A good range of shops on both sides give a great choice.

Small market with some unusual items. We spotted some small paintings on canvas of local scenes, in a modern style and bright colours. Liked so many, bought four!

We ended up walking around the area and loved all the little shops especially since this was Christmas Market season. Nice place to do some good shopping in Prague!

While we were recently in Prague to visit the Christmas Markets we were pleased to see that there are also permanent markets providing interesting items for sale throughout the year. I think that we made three separate purchases from stalls within the market. There were also a good range of shops within the street where this market is located.

This market was established in 1232 and used to sell only fresh produce. Presently, merchandise includes produce , fresh flowers, beer steins, souvenir magnets, clocks, paintings, pictures, colorful wooden flowers, wooden marionettes, cutting boards, wooden toys and puzzles, costume jewelry, cloth purses and candy. It's a rather small market. If you happen to be in the area, you may want to explore,... More

Lovely little market in the Old Town. Great for souvenirs and little wooden puppets and toys and fairly reasonably priced. Accept Euros too which is handy. Open 7 days a week. Quite small so easy to get round but worth a visit if you want to pass an hour.

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
