We only had a short time in Prague so to see so much of in a day was very beneficial for us - 6 hour tour. Most of the tour is walking with a very short boat and tram ride. Note you do not end where you start so you have to find your own way back from the castle. Something many of us on the tour did not expect. Helga was our guide and she was very knowledgeable. She also engaged with many of us on the tour. Lunch was two czech options (beef goulash with dumplings or pork and cabbage dumplings), one international option (chicken and potato chips) and a veggie option (fried cheese with potato and tartare source). We had the czech options and the meal was tasty but not as tasty as other places we ate at and the portion could have been a bit more for the men.
The tour was quite expensive but we did enjoy our day :)

The Ultimate Tour" offers "Prague on foot, by tram and boat" including lunch, drinks and a great guide. Daily, in English for 1200Kc. Starts at 10:30 for 6 hours. This tour, while probably a little on the pricey side, is a great way to see Prague if you are short on time or if you want to get your orientation of the city.
We did this tour on our first day there and brought us to places off the beaten track, which we would not have know about otherwise.
Our tour guide, Nina, was very knowledgeable, gave what we felt was a very balanced real life view of the city, it's history and tourist trade.
Had this tour not been so expensive, I would have rated it excellent, but this is definitely worth doing.

On a very cold December day, we took the Ultimate Tour by foot, tram, and boat with our tour guide, Blanca. First of all, this guide was very knowledgeable in terms of history, architecture, politics, and daily Czech life. We toured on foot through the Old Town, took a boat ride on the river where we enjoyed a hot wine, had a typical Czech lunch, and finished our day at the castle. Blanca not only was an excellent guide, but she was readily available to answer our many questions. We would definitely recommend this tour with Blanca to our friends.

Overall tour was very good (did NOT do the boat or lunch, so can't comment) and yes, it IS a 4 hour walking tour (which will indeed be a lot of exercise of you aren't used to walking).
Karel was our guide, really knew his history and was able to actually provide a feel for the history of what we were seeing. His English was excellent. If asked, he would also offer tips and insight into transport around the city, places to go (and NOT places he was recommending because he got paid to do so).
What surprised me was that most of group did not tip. These guides make a VERY small salary (I snooped) and really deserve anything you feel is appropriate.

Blanka's 13 years of experience leading guided tours clearly shone through during this tour. Her depth of knowledge and dry sense of humour made this tour a memorable one for us. There is literally alot of ground covered so be prepared for walking++. This tour is very varied, so you will never get bored. Blanka goes out of her way to make sure that all her clients are safe and well looked after. Many thanks Blanka for a memorable and enjoyable experience!

I hope you speak English, because the English language tour guide, Blanka, has to be the best city guide.

We've had several tours of the city, not one guide has come close to the depth and breadth of knowledge or experience displayed by her. If you have questions about anything, she will be brutally honest. If she doesn't know the answer, she won't lie or embellish the answer, she will tell you she doesn't know. (Didn't ask anything she didn't know the answer to that I didn't know already, so feel free to put her knowledge to the test!)

I won't lie, it is a long tour. WEAR GOOD SHOES, and if you need to stop to buy a bottle of water, just say so. It gets very warm this time of year (June onwards), and the other guests won't mind a bit, I'm sure!

Started off at Wenceslas Square, to the Old Town, onto a boat for a river cruise, back to the Jewish Quarter before lunch at a fantastic modern restaurant. She also pointed out another great restaurant to try at a later date which my partner and I did. If you're reading this, Blanka, the Svíčková was fantastic!

Onwards after lunch to the Charles Bridge, Malá Strana, the Prague Castle, and St Vitus Cathedral, before being able to explore the castle gardens and vineyards.

Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, funny, and genuinely proud of her home city and country, her tour won't be beaten by anyone.

I would bet money on that.

Thank you, Blanka.

It is the most expensive walking tour of a city I have ever done. The guide was great and was really an expert on Czech history art, culture and architecture but she just couldn't save this ridiculous tour from being a disaster. Yes, it is supposed to be on foot, tram and boat but mostly it was just walking in the old town the whole day. Two old(ish) men who were in their 60s or 70s on the tour had such a hard time with all the walking. When they had read walk, tram, boat, they expected it to be somewhat equally divided for the money we paid but it was not! There was a short tram ride to the castle and a useless boat ride that offered nothing special except for the most disgusting wine I ever had in my life. Dont be fooled when they write drinks and lunch included coz u will rather wish it was not included. By drinks they mean orange juice/coke/wine/tea (they did not even have black tea)/beer. The lunch tasted like a piece of boiled, tasteless, overcooked chicken breast with soggy fries followed by a dry cake that nobody ate more than 2 bites of. I tried to be a bit daring but had to swallow my fourth bite with water coz the cake was just so dry. For what we paid, this tour was a complete joke!

We took this tour yesterday. It was/our first time in Prauge so neither had any knowledge or preconceptions. It was a 6 hour tour that included a littler of everything! From walking- to boat tour- to all major attractions and extensive knowledge from our tour guide on it all! I believe our tour guide had 25 years experience in the industry and you could tell as any question was welcomed and answered. The food was good and Nina kept us intrested and entertain throughout- and also recommended another great tour (world war 2) after. I highly recommend both the tour and the tour guide as great way to find out and travel over Prague.

Excellent tour - price reasonable and you get to see so much of the city. Office is at the top of Wenceslas square in a small arcade next to Vytopna restaurant. Excellent guide - nice to have the boat trip and then lunch is perfectly pleasant. Then up to CAstle - and shown the way back down. Next days you can revisit specific parts - definitely do!

We were fortunate to have a very knowledgable Tour Guide who had excellent knowledge of the history of Prague, as she had lived there all her life. Nina was witty, informative & it was clear she had a love of her home town & was eager to impart her knowledge to us. We loved the variety of the tour. Firstly, we embarked on a walking tour of the Old & New Town, followed by a boat tour, where we enjoyed a lovely Czech beer & then disembarked for a delicious traditional meal (there was a choice of 4 main courses). We did hear a couple of people complaining, however the majority really enjoyed the food at this historical restaurant. If you are vegetarian or just don't like European food, then lunch here probably would not suit. After our lunch, we headed off over the very busy Charles Bridge (be careful of pickpockets) & then onto the tram to the Prague Castle. This is an amazing place & we could have spent many more hours here, however, as we were only in Prague for 2 nights, had to settle for the 6 hour tour to see as much as we could in a short time. The tour was meant to be for 6 hrs but Nina extended it to 6.45 hrs - considering most Prague residents are not paid a great deal, we were very impressed that she did this for us. This tour is value for money & we would like to thank Nina for making our day a memorable one.
