Loved it. Visited for the afternoon session during a break to Prague with 2 kids aged 11 and 8. Blows anything in the UK out of the water! Probably double the size of a Center parcs aqua dome. It cost around 1500kc for evening entry from 4pm to 10pm and 4 towels. Around 10 big slides plus 2 lazy rivers, one of which leads outside, wave pool, hot tubs, a pool with a fish tank in it, toddler area with tipping buckets etc and lane swimming. There is much more of a sense of self policing and watching your own kids. Lifeguard only appeared when the waves were on the rest of the time they watched cctv monitors. This isn’t a problem at all it’s just different to what we are used to!We took an Uber from central Prague which was around 300kc. My 8 year old cried when it was time to leave! Would highly recommend if visiting with kids!

We went here as part of a wider trip to Prague, and found it a great day. We went by Uber, but you can get there by a combination of metro and a bus from central Prague. They have a rather nifty system where you get given an electronic wristband, you pay for food and drinks inside the park with that wristband instead of using cash or cards, and then you pay the balance when you leave. We found it to be incredibly useful, but you may want to watch how much you are spending, as it totals up quickly! The waterpark itself was quite busy, as expected on a summer’s day, but it was well managed so there was not ridiculous queues for anything most of the time. There was a huge variety of slides and pools, as well as nice relaxation areas - pretty much something for everyone! We had a great day here, and I would recommend it for everyone visiting Prague who is looking for a day off from history and culture.

I was in Prague for a business trip and decided to take some our off in the evening and went to Aquapalace to relax in a sauna. The trip from Prague is about 15km and last 20-30mins depending on the traffic. If you get a taxi ensure to book it for return as there are not much in that are especially in the evening,
This review is about my experience with Sauna World that is part of the services offered at Aquapalace Prague.
Sauna World is nude area so be aware of that if you're not comfortable to stay naked with other people. Kids are allowed and I saw many enjoying steam bath and swimming pool in the nude area.
Sauna World has three main areas: Finnish, Roman bath and external saunas. Plus cafeteria. In the latter you must clothed (bathrobe, towels, or swimsuit).
In the Finnish area there are 5-6 saunas with temperatures from 60°C to 100°C and various percentage of humidity. A relaxing area and 2 whirlpools.
In the Roman are there are 5-6 steam bath again with different temperatures and scents. A big swimming pool is lays in the center of the area.
In the external area, there is a huge wooden sauna at 80°C and another big one under the ground at 95°. Two whirlpools are also available in the garden.
Every 30mins the staff runs events in the saunas and in the steam baths. Event calendar is available on the web site and also at the venue, as well as ticket prices.
As soon as I'll be back in Prague I'll visit them again.

So I have been to aqua palace more than once, but it seems that with time their services are deteriorating! In the summer it is understandable that there are more people visiting, but the management on those days is a disaster! Where to start? The queue was huge when we arrive and there were only 2 cashiers open, it was moving slooowly, nobody understood why. Then they opened 1more place but the lady quickly left leaving about 50 people waiting in the queue without explanation. As it turned out they admitted more people than there are lockers and some people inside started a little riot - there were 2600 people at the moment and more coming all the time. Needless to say the place was overcrowded. They simply need to limit number of people if they are not able to accommodate all the people they charged! "Icing on the cake" in the end was when we tried to catch the aqua bus - their free shuttle bus to the metro stop. We ran and the driver just closed the door in front of our noses and refused to open it although he was standing on the stop at least 2-3 minutes more. Really shocking and disappointing experience. For the price the service it horrible. Never again...

Good value tickets purchased through ‘Get Your Guide’ at £27.50 each for both the water park and sauna world. And they were very helpful when we made an error with the booking. Good day out and enjoyed by us both. One word of caution for families wishing to go to waterworks and sauna world...beware that sauna world is swimwear free! Everyone is expected to take swimwear off and you will be offered a towel/sheet to out around you. However, most people ‘let it all hang out!’ I did find this rather disconcerting that adults and children were nude but maybe it’s a different culture?

When I found this place due to plenty of googling - it didn't pop up quickly as something to do in Prague, I just thought it was a swimming pool with a couple of slides. Granted I didn't look too deep but from what I saw I didn't expect much and I was just looking for a swimming pool for my daughter as she is almost 2 and the general sights of Prague don't excite her as much as they do us adults. I was a little confused as to the prices/timing but I just assumed it got busy in summer. We chose 1 1/2 hrs as I thought this was more than enough. Boy was I wrong! We used that just exploring the place! Granted she is too small to use the majority of the facilities but had we gone just us or with children a little older we would most certainly of upgraded to the all day package! Obviously there was a pool as expected and more than a few slides but there was a restaurant as well as pop up bars and snack places a lazy river an area for kids 3+ an area for under 3's pools inside and outside-pools that went inside to outside. Swim up bars, a dj with dancers encouraging particoption from adults and kids, a wave pool, kids party zone, inflatable wall climbing, souvenir shops, henna tattoos. There were little relaxing areas along the lazy river including private caves jacuzzi style and various muscle massaging power jets. I have probably missed things out too-the place certainly is an Aqua Palace!! I would HIGHLY recommend for travellers of all ages in sun or rain conditions there are more than enough facilities to make a whole day out of it! We went over our time and we were charged 5 cents per minute per person, we realised there wasn't any clocks around but the technology they use to check your time left was great. It is like a watch but the 'face' unlocks/locks ur locker and checks your time, there's machines spotted about and if you place the face against it it tells you what you have remaining. We just didn't think how long it would take to get a toddler showered and changed so we chanced our arm on the remaining time enjoying ourselves far too much. Such a shame is isn't better advertised as this was our second trip to Prague and such a shame we missed it the first time around!

Not cheap, too much people, closed attractions and the aquapalace supports burkini (I am not fan of this). Dont recommend, there are another nice pools in Prague.

I spent a most relaxing day within the SaunaWorld side of the Aquapalace. As others have written, there are three main areas - Finnish saunas with indoor hot tubs, Roman saunas with indoor pool and Russian saunas with outdoor hot tubs. Each sauna has a different blend of heat and humidity.
Throughout the day there are regular ceremonies within the particular saunas, and it can get very busy at this time, particularly I found with the peeling ceremony in one of the steam rooms off the shower area, which was particularly cosy packed out with naked people.
For people not used to the central European culture of mixed, naked spa facilities there really is nothing to worry about. Once everyone is nude, then it's almost like nobody is. I didn't feel at all self conscious, nobody is looking. It's not full of weird old men lol the clientele was evenly split across the genders and also across ages from children and teens through to adults.
Towels, sheets and gowns are available to hire. If you switch your sheet for a dry one it seems to be random chance as to whether or not the switch is done free of charge, or whether you get charged for the second one as well.
Food and drinks are charged to a tag on your wrist, which also provides access to your locker.
The only one small negative was that at one point in the indoor hot tubs there were some teenagers who had somehow got onto the roof above the nude area and were looking down into the facility.
Access from central Prague is easy taking the Metro line C to Opatov then the connecting bus. Be aware that the Aquapalace is outside the central travel zone so if you have a 24 hour or 72 hour travel ticket it will not be valid on the bus from Opatov.

Visited aqua place with a bunch of friends during our stay in Prague for a friends 50th. We visited here on a Friday where it was quite quiet and not so busy. Water park is quite enjoyable a lot of good flumes and an outdoor bar too. The Saunas however are naked saunas which was quite a shock for myself 30 year old male. But on the other hand both sauna areas are exceptional. A must visit when in Prague and not too Pricey either for entry and food/drink 👍👍👍

Firstly transport:
If in the centre of Prague take the RED metro south to OPATOV
It takes 20mins so buy a 24kc ticket
Then come out of metro and go upstairs to bus station and either wait for the free aqua bus which does have info posters or as we did get the local bus 328. It will cost you another 10kc per person (33p!) And yes the bus driver will be efficient and not overly polite but this is not a tourist area.
It's the first stop and you'll know you are there as you'll easily see the Aqua palace signs / building.
Aqua Palace is modern clean and on par with any lesuire facility or better than those back in the UK.
The staff do speak some English and will help, you can rent towels and as mentioned in previous reviews you'll get a wristband which is the only thing you'll need on you to access your locker and pay for stuff. This is simpler than it sounds and a great idea.
When your inside you will find lots of slides an outside area for Sun bathing with a bar you can drink at in the water! Or out of the water a separate huge small children's area etc. It is really really good and life guards and staff looking out for every one. We had a great time and were adults! Must be even better for kids!
We paid for a day and ended up there for six plus hours. Haven't had as much fun in ages.
In terms of safety the only ride that's challenging is the rapids, you don't go on a ring and they throw you about a lot. But over ten goes we were fine, knew we'd been on it but honestly it was our favourite! Don't send your little ones on it but do give it a go and you'll feel like a kid again.
We can't recommend it enough. If your easy going ignore the other reviews and I think you'll find it fine and 100% worth the journey.
Next time were back in Czech it's first on our list to show our friends :)

Yes but you can have the white sauna towel on. You can bring yours or rent one.

Hi!
My friend and i want to visit aquapalace tomorrow but dont know which ticket we should buy. There is An option to buy An afternoon ticket but i cant see what time IT starts and for how Many hours it counts.
Does anynody know from what time to time the afternoon ticket is valide?

Can you take a towel and put it on a sun lounger in the waterpark or is this only available for hotel guests? Also can you take your phone in with you?

I am not sure about the towels, you may need to hire a sun lounger for this but you can take your phone with you. I saw lots of people taking videos and pictures when we were there.

Yes, the Waterworld ticket includes both inside and outside. You can buy 3 hour, afternoon or a day ticket. What is not included is the Sauna World, that’s extra.

You have a choice of 3 hour, afternoon (after 4 pm) or a day ticket, it includes inside and outside. The sauna world is extra fee. Google aquapalace.cz website then switch language to English top right.

Hi, I am currently in Prague. I had bought ticket but then it rained and I cancelled my visit. Please advise of what can be done i doors with heated pools and what percentage is outdoor where it's cold and rainy. Please let me know fast.

The park is structured so that you can enjoy it even in rainy weather. There are a lot of activities on the inside, the slides, wave pool, the toboggan and a very nice and hot large whirlpool Jacuzzi.
All staff speak English, if you have any questions about the aqua park called the reception area at the aqua Palace and ask them.

Well,we actually stayed a couple of nights in the attached hotel,then used the link to access the spa Therme area.
There was a huge car park out front,but unfortunately don’t know the price of either parking or day entrance. Sorry. Great selection of steam and sauna rooms.
