Not much have changed since my childhood visits , not much has changed since my last review below.
It is a great park to visit, definitely less touristy than the nearby Petrin.
Beautiful in every season ....

This park or a garden - zahrada in czech-is to the southeast of Petrin, with the Hunger wall dividing the two parks. You can walk easily from one park to the other entering from the Smichov side at the bottom entrance and climbing up the winding roads. There is an opening in the Hunger wall you could pass thru to Petrin.
The Letohradek is a beautiful building that the Kinsky family built when the gardens belong to them. There are also 2 small manmade lakes and several famous sculptures worth taking a look at.
Just another place that did not change all that much since I was a kid getting my daily share of fresh air.
Revisiting is a great treat for me.

We had a lovely walk and and shared the steep winding paths with only a few locals and their dogs. It seems mostly undiscovered by tourists. Opening in the Hunger wall allows you to cross over to Petrin.
Walking up from Smichov level or down from Strahov - either way you are in for a great exercise. Not bad to work off the calorie rich Czech food.
We love to return every time...
Kinska Zahrada is one of my favorite parks in Prague...

The park had multiple sightseeing spots and strolling and hiking options for free. At the top of the park there were some activities with a fee. I remember a couple of street performers. There was a museum, an observatory tower, a funicular, and some carnival type games/rides. All required a fee and had lines long enough that we skipped all the activities that required a fee. There was a nice view of the city at the top of the park. We noted that this park was used more by locals than tourists. Walking back down from the top we took a slightly different path, which led us through some residential areas, local businesses, and to the Nový Smíchov Shopping Center in the Anděl neighborhood with a Tesco supermarket inside.

There are so many parks in Prague, relatively close to the center. You can have your pick. My family lived nearby, so as kids we had a free run and great fun playing in this hilly park.
There are couple of small man made features - perhaps too small to be called lakes, but decorative nevertheless. The statuary is nice to photograph, few people with dogs stroll around, just like in the old times.
The opening in the Hunger wall connects the two neighboring parks. The Petrin hill seems to be better maintained.
I like to come here, even if only once during our visit to Prague. I am not looking for anything in particular ...just old memories.
When I was a child growing up in Prague, this park was one of my favorite places ...
I am already looking forward to our next visit...

Very beautiful, with a lovely view of city and a great place to walk your dog. A different thing, that I noticed was, that the park consisted mostly of fruit trees. It is big enough that it doesn't feel crowded, even though there are many people there

I have to admit we didn't actually go into the park itself, but seemed to skim around it and saw it everyday whilst we visited the city, a large hill of beautiful autumnal colours just caught my eye every time I went by.
Topped with the Petrin tower, just makes it a great place to visit, must go next time i'm over !

The garden is amazing, but unfortunatelly her big potential to be the nicest garden in downtown is broken due minimal or missed care about water lakes and fountains.

The Kinsky Gardens is one of the few parks in central Prague - it is a great way to climb the Petrin Hill and get to the Castle of Prague if you have time and weather is nice.

A park with tons of windy paths and little corners to find. A very satisfying way to spend an hour wandering around.
