Prague Private Guides Overview Tour

Prague Private Guides Overview Tour

About
The most popular Prague tour is the private overview tour. You see most of the beautiful sights in just a half a day, leaving the other half to explore on your own or go inside a place you especially liked such as the Jewish Quarter sites or the Prague Castle Royal Palace. There are lots of tours I offer though, just go to my website and choose. I have lived and worked in the USA, Germany. Sweden and now live in Prague. This has given me a great opportunity to understand other cultures and people. Prague is a beautiful, historical city and it will be a great pleasure for me to show it to you.

I use Czech glass beads in my jewelry designs, and I looked high and low for a jewelry tour where I could actually see the beads being made, not just visit bead shops. Blanka is a jewelry designer, too, and she created a fabulous tour for me! Up to four people can be on the tour, but I went alone. We journeyed up into the mountains about 1.5 hours outside Prague, to see the small crafters at work. We visited two bead-making operations (one small, one larger) and a lamp-working studio. I was able to watch the process as well as purchase beads made onsite.

I wanted to see the Bead Museum, which we did. It's under renovation at the moment, but still well worth the trip. The Czech glass items (in addition to the beads and jewelry) were spectacular!

We finished our day with a few more good bead stores, including another factory store. I found both basic beads and many that I've never seen in the States. We lunched in one of the villages, and I had the most delicious local produce!

Blanka is knowledgeable, knows her crafters, and is totally entertaining! Many of the crafters speak little English, so this tour wouldn't be possible without her interpretation skills. She was easy to travel with - I felt I'd known her for years.

This tour is designed for those who really love beads! While the scenery is lovely, it's not a sightseeing tour. We were on a mission! I was on "bead overload" at the end of the day - but a very, very happy camper! (BTW - bring an extra suitcase or stop at a local post office to ship home!)

I was in Europe for two weeks, and this very special day was a highlight I will always remember. If there could be a higher rating than "excellent" - this day deserved it!

Prague day guided tour
Tereza was our guide. She met us on time at our hotel, and went over a list of things that we could do and it was entirely up to us as to what we would like to see, and the time.

I love that we were able to have a selection of different options.
We did the Prague castle, churches, we got the history of both the castle and the churches. And then of course the history of the four different areas of the city and the Charles Bridge was fascinating.

Tereza what is the most informative guide, so just the best areas to shop give us ideas for eating, as well as pointing out landmark several times will be able to not navigate the city on our own, which was extremely helpful.

I would highly recommend Tereza, she is a fantastic guide the tour was just excellent

We just finished three days with your guide , Alexandra at Prague private Guides.

She was great. Very accommodating. Very knowledgeable. Walking pace was just right. Always concerned about our well being.

I am not an easy person to please. Just ask anyone who knows me. I expect everything to make me happy and have a good time experiencing the sites in a city with problems.

Alexandra did just that. We had an excellent time in Prague. Three days full of such wonders.

Peter the driver was excellent also.

Due to being very busy before leaving Canada I didn't have a chance to think about what my husband and I would do with our 2.5 very short days in Prague. On the second day after reading the dismal reviews for the bus tours I went to my good friend Trip Advisor for private guide suggestions. Although Prague Private Tours comes in at 42 out of 150 on Trip it has nothing to do with the quality just lack of reviews! We called, Blanka answered the phone and within 15 minutes she had a boat cruise, private tour and airport transfer confirmed for us. We were fortunate that Blanka gave up her paperwork day and did the tour herself. In about 30 seconds after meeting Blanka we felt we had made a new friend in Prague. I have done a few private tours and though they were all good, with Blanka you feel immediately comfortable with her knowledge, genuine love of her country and also her sincere desire to ensure you see everything you want to see not what she wants to show you. She truly made us feel at home and it is very evident being a guide wasn't her "job" but her passion. There is a real difference especially when your job is to see countless tourists. We highly recommend this company for your tour needs in Prague!

On the recommendation of a friend who traveled to Prague two weeks before us, we contacted Blanka to arrange our own private overview tour. She was delightful! Blanka arrived at our hotel while we were still having breakfast and joined us for a cup of coffee. We shared with her our intersts and what we hoped to see and she made it happen.

One of the best things about a guide from the city you are visiting is the orientation to the transit system. Blanka explained how to purchase tickets for the trams, subways and busses. We traveled by tram to St. Stephen's Cathedral and arrived in time to see the beginning of a ceremony to beatify six Polish martyrs. We would have had NO IDEA what was going on if not for Blanka and her ability to speak German, Czhech and some Polish.

Four hours flew by--Blanka has a delightful personality; fluently speaks English (lived in California for a while); and made some wonderful recommendations for restaurants. We were in Prague for such a short time we would have missed SO much without spending time with Blanka. I cannot recommend her highly enough. In fact, the experience was so great, I asked if she knew of anyone in Budapest that provided a similar service. Her recommendation for that city was ALMOST as good as her!

We had a great experience with Blanka. She was very responsive and helpful in her emails as we worked out the details of our tour. We ended up choosing a half day car/walking tour of old town, including up to the Prague Castle, across the Charles Bridge and to the Jewish Quarter. Blanka was very friendly and knowledgeable, and most importantly was extremely accommodating regarding the pace and design of our tour for our mother who cannot walk for very long. This was not our first time to Prague but we definitely appreciate its beauty and past so much more thanks to Blanka's wonderful tour and history lesson!

We are a group in Prague for a recent conference and needed a private guide to cater to a personalised schedule for our group. Blanka Lukes from Prague PG was the perfect answer to our wish-list.
We were in contact with Blanka via email before our arrival in Prague and she essentially put together a comprehensive and interesting itinery in accordance to our preferences and requests, thus maximising our time to enjoy Prague and the surrounding regions of Karlovy Vary and Kutna Hora.
Blanka is very knowledgeable, and has great regard for our safety and comfort. She also speaks excellent English. In addition, she gave us general tips and info about the city, including the feasibility of the hotel we booked for ourselves.
If you travel as a group, a personalised guide is probably the best way to go and Banka is definitely highly recommended for a most memorable and enjoyable visit to Prague and the region.:
