I did both the Old Town/Jewish Quarter tour and the Charles Bridge/Castle tour. Venca was the guide on both of these tours, and he did an awesome job! It was a very hot and sunny day, but Venca kept us moving along, made sure we had water, and kept supplying lots of fascinating information on the history of Prague. He... More

We registered for both the Old Town/Jewish Quarter tour and the Charles Bridge/Castle tour. What a brilliant way to see Prague. Venca was our guide for both tours and he was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and passionate about Prague and has a great sense of humour. I highly recommend these tours and with this company.

We reserved a tour, arrived at the meeting place 15 minutes before the departure time, waited and waited, constantly searching for the tour guide, continued waiting until 15 minutes after the time and then gave up in despair and left. We were not the only people waiting, there were several others in the same situation. We subsequently sent Extravaganza tours... More

After a few bad experiences with other walking tour companies, we stumbled into the Prague Extravaganza Free Tour with some skepticism. But, once Dominik started his tour (we did the Old Town/Highlights tour with him) we were hooked. We have done dozens of walking tours in Europe and this is among the best -- informative, entertaining, and covers the most... More

Our tour guide Zed was AMAZING! He is a great story teller! I thought 4 hours of walking would not be fun, but with the stories, jokes and recommendations that Zed gave us 4 hours just flew by! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Prague.

Zed is awesome! He is so passionate about his job that he keeps you engaged. Some of the stories (as well as the legends) were very interesting! We did both the old town and the castle tours with him! 4 hours of history, jokes, etc. This was the highlight of our trip. Without knowing the history, there is no point... More

Zed is an amazing and knowledgeable story teller who shared from his personal experience as a local with deep roots in the city. I started with the tour in the morning of the Old Town and Jewish Quarter and stayed on for the Charles Bridge and Castle Tour spending a total of 5.5 hours and it was absolutely worth the... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
