Well the title says it all. I had josh as my guide on a free walking tour and it was the best one I have ever been on. I have done dozens of free walking tours and this one was both entertaining and informative. I would recommend him as a guide without a doubt!

We took the royal walk free tour today with Tate - it was simply amazing! From anecdotes about the "Prager Fenstersturz" (we finally know what this is now) to the second most overrated attraction in europe - I rarely laughed and learned so much in 2.5h! The only thing missing was a bit more about history...so I'll have to check... More

We had Ashleigh from Australia for our free tour and he was not only informative but very entertaining, which made all the history and culture interesting for us and our 2 young children. Ashleigh's advice on restaurants and other attractions were very helpful and in over 25 years of travel was by far our best ever half day tour guide... More

We did the "free" walking tour with personable Australian guide, Ashley, who was excellent - equal parts informative and humorous. He gave us a potted history of the city and its people, interspersed with personal anecdotes, opinions and recommendations. I don't really remember much now about Prague's various defenestrations, but it was interesting and informative at the time, and an... More

We did two tours through Discover Prague during our the day stay - firstly we did a city walking tour with local guide Lana. The tour was educational, funny, interesting, and a great start to see the beautiful city of Prague. Lana have some helpful tips on places to eat, things to watch out for, and after the tour we... We took 3 hours last week with Tate and I can't remember his name, but he was Tate's flat mate. The communism tour was our absolute favorite. We learned an enormous amount. It's difficult to pack that much detailed information into 3 hours and still make it easy to understand, and both tour guides did a really great job of... More

We were visiting Prague for the weekend and had covered most of the city on Friday and Saturday, so we were finding things to do on Sunday. Found the Kutna Hora trip organized by Discover Prague Tours and decided to go there and visit the beautiful country side. Our tour guide was Levan, who was a student of political science... More

Ashley, our Aussie guide, was an excellent communicator and gave us a great perspective on Prague's history, culture and psyche. There was also much good advice on eating and drinking and on keeping safe on the streets. A walking tour is a great way of getting a feel for a city before deciding where you want to visit and striking... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
