The area
Address
Neighborhood: Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

Prague Museum of Fantastic Illusions

We enjoyed our trip to this museum, despite the fact that I think there are more than one of these museums in Prague and we were possibly intending to visit the other one! Either that, or they have changed all their illusions entirely. Either way, we (2 adults and 4 11 year old boys) enjoyed our time here! There were some great illusions to get pictures of. My only negative comment would be that it's not always easy to take the pictures when other members of the public are stood in the frame - generally people need to be reminded to stand back, or there should be barriers to keep them back until it's their turn - the 'system' for taking turns needs to be looked at!

Employees at the museum were so polite and nice to us, they were taking photos for us and described their visitors how they can have the best photos. Really recomend this. It’s good for couples and even for the family with kids.

DO NOT GO NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!
Aug 2020 • Couples
REALLY NOT worth the time or money. Half closed and viewed everything in 10 minutes.

This was my first and last visit.

I can only imagine the positive reviews have either commented on the wrong museum as there is a VERY good one in the old town square, or possibly viewed it when it was fully opened.

Very small, if more than 20 people in there it is full!

Huge disappointment, some OK pictures but seriously lacking in expectation!

I can honestly say I would not go back here even if it was free.

It is an interesting experience. You will see all kinds of optical illusions. Even for slow users like me, the self-service tour will not take more than 45 minutes, so it is quite a small area. Very nice historical art interior. The thing is that I am not a tourist, I am living in Prague. So for me, it was a little bit too expensive considering the time spent. And about a third of the illusions are visible only in pictures (those which you can see in ads), not in reality. Therefore, since I am not a fun of taking pictures, my experience was just "very good".
