The whole tour was excellent.
Our guide Mr. Ladislav Stoupa showed us the sights of Prague for almost 4 hours. He explained the special features and history of the city with joy, empathy and in perfect German and answered all our questions in a detailed and understandable way. Thanks to Mr. Stoupa, we got a fantastic insight into the history of Prague and many tips for further sightseeing opportunities.
Thank you very much. It was an unforgettable city tour.

Excellent experience booking Prague City Highlights tour with Premiant City Tours.
The guide Ladislav Stoupa wad knowledgeable and covered the highlights tour very well giving the information at the level that the time would allow. The tour covered the tour through bus, foot and boat. I would have appreciated if the time spent on boat journey was less and the foot walking tour had more depth, especially in Jewish quarters and old town.
The main person who needs a hig applause is Adam for managing the front office so well! ....so knowledgeable and helpful that he is a joy to interact with!
I really want to thank Adam for making our Prague city tour happen, despite our tardiness and being so understanding!!! Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

We only had one day in Prague so we opted for a 4 hour guided tour which included a short boat trip. Ladislav Stoupa was an excellent guide - easy to understand, knowledgeable and not in a hurry...just what we wanted. Well balanced combination of bus and walking; very manageable.

Ladislav Soupa was our Guide,

He was nice and Patient. He spoke very well English and German. It was a lot of input.

I would definitely recommend him. Though the tour takes 3.5 Hrs. You could get tired.

Our hosts were fabulous and very accommodating for our extra late flight. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed and much more. Communication was easy and very quick. We had four adults and there was plenty of room. The outside seating area was a nice addition to relax in.

This is a one day trip.

As usual I have attached pictures so that you can improve your own opinion rather than relying on mine ...

You are picked up at your hotel between 8:30 and 9:00 and you leave Prague at 9:00 for Karlovy Vary (once Carlsbad).
We were asked for a 58Euro fee which was a fair price for us.

One disappointment ... you do not take a full size bus but a mini bus which is less comfortable.
On the other hand however, you are in a 18 person group only which make all the climbing in/getting down rather fast and hassle-less...so as a matter of fact we preferred it.

Karlovy is around 120km far from Prague, a 2 hour trip (+/- 10 minutes if you take a break).
The road is boring, but I am glad we took it ... because now I know it is boring :) and I won't have the feeling of having missed something of the countryside.

By the way we checked the alternative which would have been taking the train: meaning a much longer trip, 3:15 hour of .. a still boring landscape, and paying a rather expensive ticket.
To summarize in 2 words the landscape during all the trip: yellow/green.
yellow (Colza/Rapeseed fields) and the remaining fields are green .. these are the only colors....
No interesting villages, castles, ruins, monuments ... flat and ...well you got it ... b....

Luckily our guide was CAROLINA...
She managed to make us forget the trip: it was a lively and really interesting 2 hour lecture about her country, its history, tradition, geography, more history with so much anger against the communist totalitarian regime, and of course the Czech people she is so proud to be part of.
Thanks to her the 2 hour trip passed actually quite fast.

Once in Karlovy the scenario changes and you are overwhelmed with is so characteristic Central Europe Architecture.
The trip includes a lunch, don't expect Fench cuisine. but it is OK.
We thought that the visit to the Moser glass factory could be skipped but perhaps you'll find it interesting
Finally Carolina also agreed to give us 2 hours for ourselves as we asked for plenty of free time to wander as we wished, which was not obvious as she had many more stories to tell us.

Bottom line, an enjoyable tour, with an excellent guide

Almost forgot, you get also a nice gift: a voucher for an hour cruise on the Vlatva river, a 12euro value ...

Dear Dan M, thank you for taking the time to write such a breathtaking overview of ou trip to Karlovy Vary. I suppose that you review will be so useful for all travellers thinking about visit od Karlovy Vary. We´re so happy to know that you were satisfied with all points of the tour. It´s true that we have mostly minibuses in our flotile but i´m happy that you could have seen advantages which the tour made with smaller bus and smaller group of people had. Hope you enjoyed your holiday in Czech Republic and hope that you´ll come again. Yours sincerely Barbora

Do this via train; take the train tickets in Hlavni Nadrazi in Prague. Takes only 2 hours to get to Dresden.

The sights of Cesky Krumlov are totally breathtaking. No question that its worth the nearly 2 1/2 hour trip from Prague to see the castle/palace and the old town. But .. we felt let down by the organization and logistics of the trip. So here are the things you should know.

1. Our tour was bilingual (and that possibility was stated online). However, it meant that every item was repeated in English and Spanish which made for a lot of words we didn't understand. Our speaker was also more fluent in Spanish, so those explanations were longer.
2. We arrived just before noon, and spent an hour going through the gardens and outside of the palace. All downhill. That took us into the village about 1:15pm, where we had "free time" to explore and eat lunch.
3. We needed to be back at the castle (back up the very steep hill!!) at 3pm for a guided tour of the insides. Lunch then exercise!
4. When that was done at 4pm - we went back downhill again to the square and had another 45 minutes of free time.
5. We then left at 5 to get to the bus. Except the guide left 2 people behind and then blamed them for not paying attention.

The entire day amounted to over 9,000 steps (4-4.5 miles) of walking - mostly up and down the steep hill. About half the party didn't go back up for the castle tour as it was too hard for them. Why not arrange the tour at a different time so you don't have the up and down??

The positives.

6. Our tour guide, Maria, did know a lot of history and willingly shared it.
7. The castle tour guide was *so* passionate about the history - it was amazing.
8. The sights and view of the town from the palace were absolutely stunning.
9. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in town - the cheaper (and better) ones are away from the square.

So .. visit the town - but ask questions about languages and the schedule of events!! 5 stars for the town, 2 for Premiant.

If this was helpful please hit that little button close by. Thanks.

Dear John C, thank you for taking the time to review our company. We are really sorry that the tour did not meet your expectations. Tour runs in one language only in case that we have fully booked bus in one language but otherwise we normaly do bilingual tours and we inform clients about it at our site and also in our leaflets. Thank you for advises, we will try to improve our service. Yours sincerely, Dana Pocnarová

First things first - our guide Paula? (the lady with a pink flag) was helpful, informative and worked hard to make sure everybody felt involved.
The tour itself was well planned and worth half day spent. We covered the castle and old town on foot, a few other places in the bus and there was also a cruise.

To people looking for a more relaxed experience - book the full day tour as half day tour may feel a bit rushed. However, that is what we preferred - getting a glimpse of Prague in half a day as we were there only for 2 days. The cruise was a good experience too.

Please pass on my thanks to Paula for making this a great experience (hope I remember the name correctly - she was our guide on 7-May-18).

From the start of the tour , the guide made clear that tipping was an option. OK. The commentary on the ride there was done first in English by one guide, then in Italian by another. When we arrived in Kunta Hora at the Bone Chapel, we were told we would have 30 minutes total and would need to be back at the bus in 30 minutes. Both my dad and another gentleman used canes to walk . it was at least a 5 min walk from the bus to the chapel for the young people . dad and the other gentleman took about 10 mins to walk there. That left 10 minutes in the Bone Chapel . Which was the main attraction of the tour. Back on the bus, I asked if the driver could drop dad and the other gentleman closer to St Barbara's Church. The answer was no, but the walk would be downhill. Like troopers, they walked down, we found a path that lead to the church entrance rather than the steps. The church itself is underwhelming. IMHO, the most interesting and beautiful parts were the stained glass windows which date from the 1900s. Another long walk to a scenic look, where the guide discussed some of the religious history of the area . then we walked thru a dusty construction zone to see where the Italian silver workers would have made the coins. The we walked back thru the dust to the town and a pizza restaurant where we could buy refreshments and see the town square. The guide made no effort to make the trip easier for my dad or the other gentleman. there were several places closer to both the Bone church and to St Barbara's where they could have been dropped off and picked up and waited for the rest of the group since the driver couldn't park there. Similarly , he could have explained to us what we would actually see in the Italian court ( nothing) and save dad and the other gentleman a walk thru the dust,up and down steps for no real reason. On the ride home, I realized that we would pass by our hotel and asked if we could get out at the stop sign as the bus had to stop anyway and it was not a busy street. I was told "No, but we are very close to our drop off spot anyway". I know that the trip description says moderate fitness, but we have taken other trips with the same descriptions where the guides and drivers offered to let Dad off closer to the site and to pick him up at that same location.
Also, the tour offered hotel pickup- why not offer drop-off as well.
In short, Dad and I both enjoyed the Bone Chapel. If that is the main or only reason you are going, just know that it will be a brief part of the tour. If anyone in your party has any mobility issues, take that into account.
