Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

A great opportunity and lovely memento of the trip.
A great experience seeing glass being blown and having a chance to get involved in the process. We booked two 30-minute sessions so that we could both make something to take away with us (note that you won’t be able to collect your items until the following day as they need to cool down). Dave was a great bloke who made the whole experience really enjoyable.

My one off creation glass blowing
Every year we visit Prague and every year I want to blow my own glass bowl, but there's so much to see 😆. This time, I was determined and not disappointed. David, the experienced and funny glass blower, guided me to create my "one off" Czech Blue bowl. It's slightly off centred but this was an artist decision! Highly recommend this experience, beer included.

Great and different thing to do in Prague!
We visited pragl to learn about glass blowing and 'have a go'. We had such a a fun time. David was so interesting and helped us through the process of making our very own pieces of glass. This was great fun and I haven't stopped talking about it now we are home. Highly recommend but don't go on the day you are leaving Prague as the glass needs to cool for 24hrs.

    Glory in the glory hole
Despite being Australian, David was very nice and knowledgeable! We had a great time and were only slightly roasted for our mistakes. Truly though we would do this again in a heartbeat! You can make a lot of different things and choose your colors. Just ask David and he will do his best to make your visions turn into glass reality. It was a slay.

    Fun experience !
My husband, 14 year old daughter and I all made glasses at this workshop. We loved learning about glassblowing and seeing how it’s done close up. This is a nice way to get away from the crowds and bring home a one of a kind souvenir. Check it out ! Beautiful gallery as well.

    Blown away!
We were on a friends holiday and wanted an activity that was not so generic to every city. We found this business in a family travel blog and all of us agreed it would be a great experience. We weren’t disappointed. The reservation and communication were efficient. The greeting was warm and the experience … well over 1000 degrees… hot. Each of us made a different vessel and felt involved in the process by the glass blower Dave. A really enjoyable experience for everyone.

    Family fun making glass
Friendly, fun and learned a bunch. We had our 8, 11 and 13 year old girls with us and they loved it. Bonus is they offer you a beer to keep you cool near the kiln. Definitely a must for a trip to Prague!

    Wonderful and Unique Experience
Absolutely enjoyed working with Dave and blowing glass for the first time! It was a unique experience and absolutely worth it. The whole thing was quite quick but just enough to really get a good feel of glass blowing. Had some pretty good beer as well before the workshop and we had a great time.

    Amazing experience with amazing people
It was an amazing experience for the whole group. We learned about a bit of chemical/physical theory and went right into making our own glass products. The glassmaking master David was an amazing teacher, led us through the process and made us do most of the work. Unfortunately the furnace broke down, so we got another date to make up for it, which is perfect.

    A must-do while in Prague!
We had a wonderful time learning about glass making and creating our own glasses! The instructor, David, is very nice and very patient. We went on a hot day and still had a blast. The heat from the furnaces is not overwhelming and there are plenty of cold drinks there. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Prague.

I’ve wanted to try glass blowing for a long time and I’m so glad we took the opportunity to go to PRAGL when on a trip to Prague - as a group of 6 friends we went for a couple of hours and we had a great time. David was excellent - really informative, helpful, and a lot of fun. We all got to make something unique which is a great souvenir but for the experience, it really is fantastic value and I could not recommend it enough. I left feeling inspired and keen to have another go, I would definitely go again if back in Prague

This was one of the coolest things I’ve done! Super nice guy and just an easy time. We made two beer mugs in about 35-40 mins (pretty cheap for that experience too around £50), right balance between Dave showing us his handiwork and us having a go. Honestly one of the greatest parts of this trip and I highly recommend - think there are slightly cheaper options too (like making a paperweight) if you’re on a low budget. Really recommend it!

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at glass blowing and when I saw this opportunity I couldn’t resist. David was an amazing teacher so patient and willing to explain what was happening but in a very relaxed manner that was just perfect. You work with him to create a glass of your own design and even in your choice of colour! All of this for the same price you pay for a standard glass in most shops in Prague. A fantastic memory of this visit and a truly unique momento. Thanks so much to David. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough do go along and say hi and enjoy this amazing experience!

We had a fantastic experience at Pragl making glass creations with David! I highly recommend it. It was very affordable and you get to make a one of a kind souvenir to take home. We all had so much fun! You get to help shape and blow your own glass object of your choosing. Don't miss out on this one. We'll be back again soon. If you are trying to book for multiple people, just email them so you get the right amount of time booked for your group.

What a place. The reception staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly for the booking process, decided to come back the next day to do our workshop. Dave, the resident glassblower was a bundle of joy. He couldn't have made us feel more comfortable and encouraged us as though we were professional glass blowers ourselves. An absolute gentleman. For couples, singles or groups I'd whole heartedly recommend all try out this extremely affordable and extremely fun day activity. What a place.

My boyfriend and me came to Pragl for a glass blowing workshop, to each make our own creation (a carafe and an engraved plate) after viewing the contemporary glass pieces in adjacent gallery. David was great, friendly and relaxed, and helped us both bring our ideas to life! After offering us free beer (on tap!), he was generous with time, and talked us through the process step by step, letting us have a go at shaping the glass as well as blowing. We even had a chance to try our hand at engraving our piece the next day, when it had cooled down. Definitely a highlight of our first trip to Prague!

The team are so professional especially David the glass blower who is the genuine article! He exudes passion for having fun and making beautiful pieces of glass. I chose the beer mug, and my daughters chose to make flowers and one Christmas tree bauble. All gorgeous colors and styles to choose from. We had a beer, and a hands on experience where you assist David in making your glass piece. It was a wonderful experience and was nice to get out of the cold for some lovely heat from the furnace!! I would highly HIGHLY recommend it for a great 40 minute experience of a Czech glass blowing tradition.

Great way to spend an hour learning about glass making and participating in the process of creating something to take home with you. We recommend choosing the custom design class so that you can participate in the design process and make something unique that you can display in your home. The folks at pragl are great and made this hour a lot of fun, the included beer was great too!

Make a reservation online ahead of time and keep in mind that the glass must cool in ovens over time, so you'll need to leave time to pick the glass up the next afternoon. We cut it close with our flight the next day, but the friendly folks at pragl helped to make sure we got our glass in time.

I couldn't recommend this experience any more, I had such a great time with Dave and Takeshi at their glass blowing workshop, both are extremely talented and use all their skills in helping you create the perfect authentic Czech souvenir to remember Prague by. They helped me make an amazing beer mug but nothing is too difficult for them and they are happy to help you make anything. Make sure to stick around the workshop after you have finished and have a beer and watch the masters at work. they're both very friendly and love to have a chat. Don't forget to look around the breathtaking collection there as well.

So glad to have stumbled across this experience. Dave was awesome! Not only very talented, but he also made us feel like old friends. We chose to make a mug/cup, and it was the perfect amount of involvement and interaction for a personalised but usable vessel at the end.

Would recommend at least stopping in to watch the glass blowing take shape and to enjoy a free beer with Dave! A memorable experience for sure.
