Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

run by a delightful Frenchmen who has lived in Prague for 18years . None of your mass produced rubbish will be found here. Each item has been selected for quality and authenticity.. Many are quirky but all are interesting. If like me you get a sick feeling passing endless shops full of useless trinkets then visit here to get back the quirky originality which used to be so common in Prague in the past but is now virtually extinct.

So being an expat here that has been in Prague for almost a year, I don't typically go for souvenir stores. However, while walking through the Malostranska Namesti area (because why not, the area is lovely and worth a look!), I stumbled across this gem.
What really separates it from other gift shops is that not only are the gifts hand made, and the staff super friendly, but I really enjoy that the gifts are practical. While you can give someone something of a souvenir they can place on their shelf an forget about, most items here are worth display and open discussion. They are quite the inclusion to most any decorating style. This being said, if you bought something from here, it has instant conversation ability for you to entertain your friends and family from your travels abroad, and you know everything is made from someone local to Czech Republic. This is great, as you are also giving back to the community here locally, as much as enhancing your decor.
If you are in the area (and you are, because you are seeing the beautiful castle complex and Charles Bridge area), this is the place you should stop for any items to validate your travels to the beautiful Czech Republic. Definitely worth a stop. Even for someone who lives here. :)

After two days wading through "I Love Prague" ashtrays and more Panama hats than Panimar itself I had almost given up hope of finding anything truly authentic to take home.
This was until I spotted some quite unique hand thrown pottery thoughtfully laid out on the stone steps of what I would come to learn is Stéphane's homage to contemporary and traditional local design.
Eager to see more I ascended the steps to explore the trove of unique items. I learn Stéphane himself an artist displays his own work alongside the collection of items he has sourced. I found a wide variety of items from pottery, leather bags, hand printed textiles, jewelry and much more.
I would really recommend popping in to explore for yourself. The shop is located on the popular street of Nerudova. You will be spoilt for choice, and supporting the work of local artists in this recently opened independent store.
I of course did not leave empty handed, choosing to walk away with some more traditional pieces that I absolutely love. And are serving as the perfect memory of my wonderful time in Prague,

This is just the sort of shop that belongs in the heart of Prague. Many beautiful, delightful, and unique items made in the Czech Republic by a variety of artists, from the decorative to the practical. Truly a must-visit while in the city.

After visiting the Praha Castle, on the road to the Charle's Bridge, we fall on this nice shop unlike the other one in downtown. We found a lot of different crafts. Stephane explain to us these was made by Czech artists. We liked ceramic, wood tableware, jewelry and toys for kids... and adults. Stephane propose its own photos that can be a nice genuine souvenir from Praha.

Stopped in to Stéphane’s shop on a whim, and we’re so glad we did. The artistry on display was captivating. What’s more, his crafts have a story. The Czech trail indicators, for instance, are beautifully rendered into different crafts. We are not much for souvenirs, but these are not simple bric a brac. After making our purchases, his message “you’re never lost in Prague” resonated with us when he directed us to the Senat Gardens. Bonne chance, Stéphane!

A great little place on the main route down from the castle. Walk on past the cheap “plastic” tourist shops to Orel & Friends and choose from the cute collection of hand-crafted decorative items and souvenirs. Each product has a story and a face behind it for you to remind you of your trip to Prague.
