What this place lacks in taste of food it makes up for in atmosphere and style. Great performers with many attributes for both men and women eyes. Would come again if the food was better (could have been the day as I read other reviews)

Took my 12 yo- fabulous experience. Food good, beer good, service from Tina exceptional. Entertainment a blast! Riveting for the 12 to- soldiers, dancing girls, fire dancing/breathing- felt like being on the set of a movie! Note there are a few Medieval Taverns. We went to the one at the food of the castle.

A touch gimmicky, but some nice, fairly authentic Czech food. The serving sizes were great, and the service was very friendly. Much better than the tourist-trap restaurants on the main square.

My wife & I visited this medieval restaurant during a recent trip to Prague. The food was average ( as you would expect in a themed restaurant) and the portions are so huge you would need a wheel barrow instead of a doggie bag if taking it home :) The entertainment is interactive ( the performers go through the isles... Amazing is the only word I can find to describe this place and the night we had there. Let's start with the obvious: it's a restaurant and I expected good food... no disappointment there: great food, large portions, small prices. Of course, what makes this restaurant unique is the location, which makes you feel like you really are back in... More

This is a medieval tavern which is candle lit. It was very different but it was probably not for me to be honest. My meal was not that good. The meal was dull and too small. It was different and the night life was great. I will not revisit it and found it difficult to see the meal let alone... More

This is an amazing restaurant! The whole place is candle lit only and you are made to feel like you have stepped back in time. The food and beer were great and we had great service from the staff. Relatively cheap as well. We came on a Sunday, so there weren't any shows, but it is still worth a visit.

Happened to pass by seeing a fire show/dance and old medical music being performed for the dining audience. We ended up coming back a few hours later for beer and lemonade. The beer was good and from their own brewery, home made lemonade was ok but nothing special. The atmosphere and surroundings however was why we came. This Tavern is... More

If you have never been in a medieval tavern, then most probably you will like this place. The restaurant has different rooms and the medieval shows are placed in each room. However as the acting groups travel among the rooms, the shows doesn't start and end really authentic, and waiters need to pass among sometimes. I have been in the... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
