Happened to pass by seeing a fire show/dance and old medical music being performed for the dining audience. We ended up coming back a few hours later for beer and lemonade. The beer was good and from their own brewery, home made lemonade was ok but nothing special. The atmosphere and surroundings however was why we came. This Tavern is... More

If you have never been in a medieval tavern, then most probably you will like this place. The restaurant has different rooms and the medieval shows are placed in each room. However as the acting groups travel among the rooms, the shows doesn't start and end really authentic, and waiters need to pass among sometimes. I have been in the... More

This place is totally lit by candles and a great place to enjoy authentic Czech food. Visited with the group and the food was delicious, mostly handles bigger groups through the tour company.

We reserved a table for lunch and nearly stayed until dinner. Their homemade beer is excellent, the ribs even better!! The ambience is something you will struggle to find anywhere else, the roles of medieval bar staff played perfectly by each member of their team. It was overall an excellent experience and something I would recommend everyone if to Prague... More

Stopped with my husband and another couple. We were preparing to make the climb to the castle when we were overcome by the need to stop for a pint. :). What a great place we happened upon! A gem of an old tavern with such a genuine feel! Four beer were slammed down on the table - a great sound!... More

We dined here as part of our tour and it was a real treat. The food was quite tasty and the atmosphere took me back to the medieval times. The tavern is quite dark and stuffy but added to the atmosphere. Worth a visit.

Browsing thru TripAdvisor, I came across the name Medieval Tavern. Intrigued, I tried booking two tickets online but faced difficulty. Finally called them to make reservations and that too without the credit card payment that the online portals were asking for. My wife is a vegetarian. This is possibly the only place of its kind to offer a vegetarian course.... More

My husband and I enjoyed a 1st class evening of food, drink & entertainment at Stredoveka Krcma! When I booked it my husband was unsure of what to expect but with a little trepidation we went along and I am so very glad we did. It was so dark when we went in and took a while for our eyes... More

Great place to go and have a fun night and watch the show between 19-22 feels like your in the middle ages. The people that works here are supposed to be a bit rude like in the old times its part of the show. The food is great and not to pricy. But this is a place where you go... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
