Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

- antonio m11 contributionsThe best experience in a pub, and not only in Prague!Prague has many clubs, but this one makes your holiday truly special! The venue is immersed in medieval rooms and tunnels underground, real in structure and enriched with details worthy of the best Hollywood set designers, the staff is at the top of costumes, education, seriousness and professionalism, the show is divided into 4 parts, from the dances, to fight scenes, from juggling with fire to choreographed balance games... up to fire eating... in a closed room!!!! absolutely unique! Valuable tip about the menu: you can choose between 3 courses and 2 drinks or 5 courses and unlimited drinks. By 3 or 5 courses we mean the set of dishes written on the menu for the starter and the "main course" calculated in smaller or larger quantities, so you cannot ask for a single type of course (e.g. shank or ribs), they bring you everything that is written on the menu. For drinks, 2 in the 3-course option and unlimited in the 5-course option, you have to take into account that 2 drinks are already 2 medium beers...so already enough. Taking into account the final dessert, artisanal and absolutely good and plentiful, I advise everyone to select the 3-course menu, not so much for the savings, but for the absolute satisfaction of the quantities of food and drinks (if you want you can order other beers later ...or even food). Since you always eat around Prague, I am absolutely satisfied with having chosen the 3-course menu, at a price of 45 euros per person (pay by card, because otherwise, as in all of Prague... paying in euros adds approximately 5 euros out of 45...and it's not even worth withdrawing from the ATM...the commissions are even higher). Ultimately, I have already thanked the staff of the venue and I also sent them my photos taken there and videos, to which they replied thanking me. Last note: take advantage of it if you have a birthday to celebrate, because you will receive a cake with a candle directly from the participants with lots of happy birthdays sung!Visited January 2024Traveled with friendsWritten January 29, 2024
- Begoterra196824 contributionsA different dinnerWe hire the Easter menu with a show. The curious place, small rooms with very picturesque decoration, dinner with candles... Super recommended, the food was very good, although it was not exactly what they had told us weeks before. As a starter, cheese, Czech sausages, pâté and grapes, this without any problem. As a second course, the menu that they offered us weeks before, when I hired it, included smoked pork ribs, baked ribs with honey sauce, chicken wings, chicken thighs with stuffing, leg of lamb with tubers and red wine, potato roast, corn on the cob, garlic and plum sauce, well, well, the smoked ribs and chicken wings must have been lost along the way, and with them the supposed filling of the chicken thigh. The food that arrived was good, I can't deny that, but.......it's not what they told us, and maybe a little less honey sauce, it would have been better Very delicious dessert However, the service was very good, excellent, our waitress was charming, the show was fantastic and the actors were very friendly, this made up for the "disappointment" of the second course. It is recommended to go, but with a show., Of course, having dinner at 7 in the afternoon for a Spaniard is a bit strange.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 2, 2024
- NicolettaPistoia, Italy104 contributionsGood experience!!Beautiful experience seems to be catapulted into the Middle Ages. Disturbing tavern all in the dark lit by candles, excellent and plentiful food to unquestionably eat with your hands. Delicious beer in rivers and of all types!! Located on several floors underground with various rooms. Entertainment by jugglers, gypsies and fire eaters. Fast and nice service. Clean bathroom. Highly recommendedVisited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 22, 2024
- Marija P6 contributionsAmazingWe had meal and drinks. Amazing interior, like they move you back in 13th century. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food was delicious same as home made beers. Every corner of that place is telling new story. We were so happy. If you visit Prague, this is definitely place that should be visited.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 6, 2024
- HeatherERHuddersfield, United Kingdom99 contributionsGreat night outWe really enjoyed our medieval night and it was great value with all drinks included which were kept flowing all night, beer and wine. The food was basic fare but well cooked and very tasty. The entertainment was varied and great fun and the setting was unique and atmospheric. Only thought would be cushions on the seats !Visited November 2024Traveled with familyWritten November 17, 2024

Went last week following a recommendation. What a fantastic night we had. It worked out around £45 per person which included food, entertainment and an unlimited supply of beer, wine and soft drinks. The tavern is underground and were shown to our reserved spot which had rustic table and benches. We were encouraged to dance on tables and had our own waitress for the night. No need fo do anything except enjoy ourselves. The entertainment consisted of medieval reenactment, fire eaters, belly dancers and it was fantastic. Audience participation was encouraged and we had a marvelous evening.
Highly recommended and well worth the money. Special thanks to the entertainers and especially our waitress Gally who was brilliant.

We had such a great night here. I don’t know what was better, the food (which was all delicious) or the entertainment! The restaurant is really well done its completely candlelit and feels very authentic, right down to the mugs they serve your drinks in. Something a wee bit different and definitely a must do

This was OUR Anniversary Meal, and one that WE will never forget. 5 x Courses of Czech Cuisine which was exquisite as , along with unlimited Beer or Wine, and WE shared a Table with a Spanish Couple, whom were very Friendly and Conversational. The selection of Entertainment was out of this world - Jester/Conjuring Tricks; Fire Eating; Dancing; Sword Fight; Music. An absolute must visit when going to Prague

We went here for lunch after visiting Prague Castle. We did not know this was a theme restaurant. This was a fun surprise. When we walked in it was dark so we sat near the window for light. There is a clear medieval theme to the building and the staff dress. We ordered 2 beers and the waitress slammed them on the table when she came. The unfiltered dark beer is excellent and inexpensive. We ordered the sausage and goat cheese and bread which was also excellent. After we ordered the waitress put a bowl of water and a stack of napkins on the table which confused us. When the food came there was no silverware. When we asked she just smiled and "no". We then realized everyone was eating with their fingers and rinsing with the bowl of water. The bread was a great substitute for silverware. When we asked for the bill the waitress stabbed a large knife in the middle of the table with the bill attached. A fun way to have lunch. The menu is in English. The staff speaks English and they take credit cards.

This experience was perfect! The ambience, the food and the spectacle were something that deserve to be seen. it is the ancient medieval tavern of the city; probably is for this reason that the price was a little bit high (52 euro by person).

wonderful place, the atmosphere is very suggestive, it seems like you are truly entering one of the medieval taverns of the past. very good food and very kind, helpful staff. the price was also quite affordable given that there were three of us.
we saw two shows, one with a fire eater and the other with some girls dressed in the same theme dancing on the tables: truly beautiful. everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, from the location to the souls of the people, to the food that you can even eat with your hands. I would happily return

Amazing night and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Prague. The food was excellent and served quickly. We ordered a juicy fillet steak with baked potato, sweetcorn, grilled courgette and rocket, as well as the beef goulash. Both lovely meals. The entertainment was amazing - belly dancing, fire breathers, sword fighting, snakes! Drinks were also cheap. £20 for 5 beers and 4 gin and lemonades. Definitely recommended!

Booked the all inclusive experience for a group of 13 on a stag do. I was initially concerned that it would be a bit cheesy and not go down well with the group, however I couldn’t have been more wrong. The experience was incredible and went down a storm with the lads! Firstly, the bar itself (oldest in Prague apparently) was very cool and offers a very novel taste of historic Prague. The entertainers/staff are all in authentic costume and really play the part, right down to the wenches slamming the beers on the table, which was a nice touch! The food was excellent and the beer and wine was free flowing all evening. The entertainment value was very high and the entertainers were highly skilled in their craft. Highlight was the group participating in the traditional dancing at the end of the evening.
Only downside was that it was very hot inside but we were there in July and I guess the lack of air conditioning only added to the authentic, medieval experience.
My advice would be to book in advance and go there with an open mind. Be prepared to be transported to the past for an evening of medieval/Game of Thrones style fun!
Overall, a 5 star experience, excellent value for money and one of the highlights of our weekend in Prague. I would highly recommend for a stag/hen group and work team night out.

Fabulous inn, atmosphere soaked in history. First time we called there was no table available so returned the following day and were seated in a small dark alcove which had a few candles for lighting, very sympathetic to the history of the inn, but not so helpful when eating. Two of us had the goulash with dumplings (which turned out to be soggy bread). The food was served on dark plates which made it impossible to see what you were eating so we had to use the lights on our ‘phones. The meat in the goulash was tough, the accompanying onions underdone and the gravy cold. Perhaps they don’t use suet to make dumplings in Prague but what we got were just lumps of soggy bread. I had a glass of the local red wine, which fortunately was a small measure, as I later discovered to my gastronomic horror was off as I was violently ill. The in is well worth the visit for its antiquity and brooding atmosphere but there aren’t enough kronans in Prague to tempt me to eat there again.

We had the most memorable evening at this amazing pub, dating back to 1375. We were seated in the bottom basement room, which has stone walls and candles for ambience. We opted for the 3 course dinner with 2 drinks. The food pas delicious and ample. The entertainment was amazing: musician and singer and belly dancer made at least 4 rounds, the snake, jester / juggler, sword fighting & fire blower. Highly recommendable. Excellent service by the waiters.

Can a group of us just turn up for drinks during the day or would we have to pre-book?
