Neighborhood: Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

I am surprised that this hasn't made it on Trip Advisor as a landmark before because when I came around the corner onto Wenceslas Square I was quite taken aback by the building built in the early 1900s. I found it to be quite beautiful. When looking at places to visit and things to see in advance of my trip Lucerna Palace came up because of a David Cerny sculpture I wanted to photograph and I'd read that it was in the palace (but it isn't, "Wenceslas on an upside down horse" in an arcade lower down the square) but otherwise I don't think I'd have known about the palace and it would have been a shame to miss it. I didn't go in the Palace but I believe it's a concert hall. Wenceslas Square seemed to have more hype than the palace when I was reading around but it was pretty modern with a Starbucks, McDonalds and hotels - nothing noteworthy in the square itself apart from a juggler!

A kind of shopping center where inside we can find a sculpture by David Cherny, an overturned horse. Impossible not to pass by there and not see it. It is huge and stands out within a large room.

Lucerne Palace is a concert hall and shopping mall located on Wenceslas Square (one of the previous reviews) in the historic district of Nové Mesto in Prague. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958 and as a national cultural monument since 2017.
The building was designed between 1907 and 1921 by engineers Stanisław Behine, Joseph Czamski and Václav Havel. Engineer Václav Havel built the building.
The building is one of the first reinforced concrete buildings in Prague, and also with the original glazed flooring of the passage. The style of the building combines features of the outgoing late secession and emerging modernism.
Frankly, I think the building inside is much more eye-catching than the outside. This is especially true of the passage where David the Black's sculpture "The Horse" hangs under the glass dome. Originally, the provocative sculpture was placed next to a prototype - the sculpture of St. Wenceslas in Wenceslas Square. However, the resentment of the citizens reached such a height that the statue was hidden in the nearby passage of Lucerne. The sculpture is an upside-down horse on whose belly St. Wenceslaus "sits", wearing armor, helmet and flag / or spear in hand.
You can find more information about the building and its history at the link I will post below.
