Neighborhood: Malá Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

34 yellow penguins are standing in the line on a metal beam along the Vltava river near Kampa Park.

The work was created by the Cracking Art Group, a Milan-based art movement. The penguins are all made from recycled bottles.

The penguins are warning against the dangers of climate change and plastic consumption.

While this place in particular is mentioned in all the Top 10 places to visit in Prague, it just needs a few seconds while in Kampa island. The best way to see it is through a restaurant. I was lucky that the latter was empty, so I managed to take a photo of the penguins.

Not worth seeing unless in the area, but they are right next to the crawling baby sculptures.

Best seen either from the water on a river cruise or from the bar they are located next to

Visited on Thursday 12th October. We were on a lunch cruise on the Vltava River and noticed these penguins as were cruising along. We were so close you could nearly touch, interesting art work along the rivers edge.

There are a bunch of yellow penguins or is it a raft, waddle, huddle, colony, rookery or tuxedo ,whatever they're called these penguins that line the banks of the Vltava River look superb, as cute as they look they carry a strong environmental message and are made from recycled plastic retieved from rivers such as the Vltava River and from the sea ,they're very photogenic and well worth a few minutes of your time if you're in the near the riverbank.

Located along the banks of the Vltava River are a set of amazing looking penguin statues ,they look cool ,they are fun to view but they also carry an important environmental message as I believe they are made from recycled plastic bottles most likely reclaimed from the sea ,most definitely well worth checking out if you're near Kampa Park.

Chanced upon this while strolling along the river at Kampa Island. Interesting but nothing special. Just a Photo stop.

Loads of yellow plastic penguins in a row that light up at night. Created by the Cracking Art Group, this is 'a warning against the dangers of climate change and plastic consumption' - good way to do it!

We really were not expecting to come upon these but at dusk whilst walking through Kampa Park we noticed the bright yellow glow coming from the River Vltava. There are 34 of the penguins made from recycled plastic. This city is full of surprises and these are more pleasant than the babies beside them!
