Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. We had lots of fun experiencing the art of making chocolate along the whole process with our lovely instructor. You can eat as much as you want while making your own chocolate bars and sweets - Yummy. Lots of fun for a family activity in Prague.

My wife attended the class at Chocolate Monkey. They made tempered chocolates and some cake pops. It was a great class. The instructor was very cheerful and patient. She also let me join towards the end for some pictures. Good fun for circa 1.5 hours.

Chocolate Monkey was a wonderful fun event for our entire family. We had a lot of fun creating and decorating our chocolate creations. We learned so much about everything chocolate. The class was very well timed so that we were doing fun activities while our chocolate was hardening. Sonja was amazing and made everything so much fun! I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone who loves chocolate.

This is definitely a must visit for all chocolate lovers. It was pretty easy to find using google maps and the shop is beautifully decorated. The fun and colourful Chocolate Monkey pattern is on one wall and the shop is laid out in a clean and modern style. There are loads of chocolates to choose from, whether white, milk, dark are your thing or you're looking for something more adventurous like lavender chocolate (yes, I said Lavender...it's surprisingly good)! You can also buy cocoa nibs, hot chocolate and other chocolatey goodness and Michaela is always on hand to help you decide.
I booked a slot for the chocolate making workshop on the website and it was really simple to navigate. The workshop was just so much fun, and Michaela explained the process very well. It was fascinating to learn more about cocoa and the chocolate making process, and even better to be a part of it. She talks you through the chocolate tempering process and what makes a good chocolate. You can then create your own chocolate bars and lollypops, with a selection of toppings to choose from including nuts, chocolate drops, sugar decorations, coconut etc. Whilst the chocolate is then being fast frozen, there's a quiz to give you some fun facts and a chocolate tasting activity. I was surprised at some of the chocolates I tried, as until Michaela said what they were, I had no clue haha
I went here purely because of the chocolate making workshop but I think it's absolutely worth going to visit regardless. Michaela was super nice and fun to be around, and I can't recommend her or the shop enough!

Mum and I absolutely loved this fun, engaging, informative and most of all tasty experience. Easy to find and situated just above a little market, we’d recommend this for all ages and abilities
+: -Michaela is a lovely and charming host, who provided a warm welcome as well as an extensive knowledge of all things
-Although there were 4 fairly young children on this experience, we didn’t feel as though it was ‘too young’ or childish for us and found it thoroughly engaging throughout
-We learnt so much about the history of chocolate and the processes it goes through, without it feeling like a history or science lesson at any point
-: -It is a little on the pricey side, but we left with 2 squares of chocolate and 2 lollipops each & tasted loads of types of chocolates

We were a group of 3 to join the workshop and my session was a huge group one with people from different places in the world. We had so much fun to make chocolate and learnt how to temper chocolate and taste many things from the raw seed to different favor of chocolate. Also, we learnt knowledge about chocolate.
The experience was great and the chocolate tasted so good. We enjoyed everything from Chocolate Monkey and will definitely visit them when in Prague~

We took part in this masterclass with a family from America and another couple, who were from Canada.
Sonya was a fun teacher and we learnt a lot things about chocolate that we didn’t know.
Not eaten the chocolate we made yet, but we certainly got to taste enough during the class to know it’s going to be yummy!
Would highly recommend this as something different to do in this brilliant city.
