I was here twice now. George is a really friendly guy and speaks excellent English as well as German. I had a safe place for my bike so he let me keep it overnight, which is not possible with all bike rental services in Prague. The option to just get on my bike in the morning instead of first finding and renting a new one saved me a lot of hassle and time. I rented trekking bikes for me and a friend which are perfect for Prague streets and even on rough terrain. The bikes here are well-kept and don't have any obnoxious branding like at other rentals. The prices are really fair, so I just kept my bike for my whole stay, which would have been very expensive at one of the touristy stores closer to the center. I can definitely recommend George's place and I will be back!

George of Transphere was extremely helpful and considerate. My friend and I shot him a last minute email asking about bike availability for a one week cycling tour between Prague and Bratislava and not only did he provide us with amazing equipment (bikes, panniers, helmets, phone cases, etc), he crafted a tailored route recommendation with outstanding stops in towns across Slovakia, Austria and The whole of the Czech Republic. We had an outstanding adventure and loved all his recs. He also equipped us with the best route mapping app in CZ (mapy.cz) and helpful information for transport with bikes on trains. He was flexible and responsive in arranging meeting times for pick up and drop off of the bikes and was just an all around lovely person sharing info before and after our trip. Prices were totally reasonable for this type of trip and service was off the charts. Couldn't recommend highly enough for anyone looking to do a cycling trip of any distance from Prague!

We had both a beer bike tour and rented bikes on a later date as well.

For the beer bike tour, some prime cafés that would have been on the way were unfortunately closed. With his knowledge of Prague, George very easily came up with an alternative route, again incorporating our preferences. The tour itself was great; biking in the city (on the car lane and between the trams) seemed somewhat intimidating at first, but with George up front we easily went to and fro. Each café / pub had different (local) beers to try. The whole tour was a very nice experience of getting to know Prague, its beers and cafés, and George himself, as a very kind and knowledgeable guide.

At a later date we also rented bikes for a tour of ouw own. George suggested a route alongside the banks of the Moldau, which was gorgeous (and much better than the route we selected ourselves).

We had an excellent Prague experience with George, his services and equipment. Highly recommended and will use again
when returning to Prague.

We rented 2 trekking bikes, at a great price, for our 75km ride to and from Karlstejn Castle, using the great A2 path just across the river from George's base.
Communication with George was very easy, always getting a speedy and helpful response. The bikes were in good condition and appropriate accessories (lock, toolkit etc) included. He gave us plenty of information on the navigation which actually is pretty straightforward, just a few places where care is needed.
George is an interesting cool guy who is clearly passionate about bikes and cycling. He also has a few stories to tell about some of the rock bands he has seen in days gone by!!
We are pleased to recommend George and his independent one-man operation. Next time I'm in Prague I know where I'll be renting my bike!!

Next time you come, make sure you take a bike ride to Zizkov on a Thursday evening. There's always live music at "U vystreleneho oka", local bands, some really original stuff worth every drop of sweat it takes to get there. I'd be happy to join you for a couple. Thanks!

We took a bike tour between Prague and Dresden, rented 10 bikes for 7 days. Almost all the bikes were completely new or at least in a very good condition properly serviced. George, the owner was super helpful, he gave us useful info and recommendations, responded to every email and question very quickly, everything was smooth and well organized. He also arranged for us a pick up service from Dresden so we did not need to take the bikes back by train. On the top of that, he delivered the bikes into our apartment on the 1st day of our tour. He really offers door to door service and finds smart solutions to every request! Our expectations were 100% fulfilled.

We had been looking for a place to rent bikes for a 5 day trip from Prague to Dresden. Even from the first contact via e-mail we had a great feeling that we were being taken care of. We were invited to come and try out the bikes on the day before our departure - a great detail, and from the first moment George was just like a friend, and very service-minded.
The next day George was with us again, and helped us pack the bikes and get us on the right path out of town.
We rented three great bikes, well equipped and maintained, at a very reasonable price, considering that the bikes had to be brought back to Prague afterwards. For five days and more than 250 kilometres we had not a single issue with the bikes.
Highly recommened!

No problem at all when I informed George that my time of arrival was changing a couple of times, once I was in Prague I got offered a choice of bikes.
Both, bike & bags were in excellent condition, a joy to ride and made it a very comfortable Prague to Dresden trip.
We arrived 1 day early in Dresden and I asked it it was possible to use the bike one more day, no problem at all, amazing service.
I highly recommend Transphere Bike Rentals, very good bikes and great service

This bike tour has truly been the best and most exciting tour I have ever done. George is a great tour guide and host. He really thinks along your wishes and preferences and is super flexible in adjusting the route to it. He knows so much about Prague and its history and tells this in a very exciting and informative way. If you are looking for a bike tour in or around Prague, don't look any further as this will be the best you can get!

George was great to deal with from start to finish. Everything was booked easily via WhatsApp messages. Really good value bike hire and the hybrid style bikes were well maintained and perfectly suited to the recommended riverside path/route (which is safe and suitable for even the most inexperienced cyclists). There are small bars/toilets every few miles on the Riverside path when heading upstream away from Prague city centre. A great day out. Highly recommended. Thanks George

At late notice we organized a bike trip from Prague to Breclav; and none of it would have been possible without George’s assistance and incredible service.
We hired four bikes, along with panniers, helmets, etc in Prague and took the bus to Cesky Krumlov, before cycling to Breclav over a number of days through some incredible scenery.
We met George in Breclav where we exchanged the bikes with luggage that had been delivered from Prague, before catching the train to Vienna.
George knew his stuff and was happy to help with all the questions we had.
We would all highly recommend hiring bikes with him.
