About Wine Travel in Czech
You want to go beyond touristic areas in Prague and main Czech cities but did not dare organising it? Too complicated in a country you are not familiar with and where you can't talk their language ? We encourage you to discover untouched regions that have more to offer than museums, crowded sightseeings, busy streets and noisy restaurants. And Czech wines? Better than you might think. Mostly fresh, crisp whites, along with some some deep, oaky ones, and lighter, fruity reds on top. We visit winemakers we love for their wines and personalities. One word to summarise the day in the wine country? “Fun”! Just imagine a field trip. But with great wine, good food and interesting locals!

Ultimate private wine tasting experience from Prague to Moravia (3 days)

South Moravia is the most important wine region in Czeh Republic. Miukulov is one of its charming historical cities located 2,5-hour drive from Prague. The region includes 96% of the country’s vineyards.

Wine growing in this region has been reliably traced back to the Roman Empire period – the 2nd century AD.

Ideally situated north of the Alps and at the Western edge of the Carpathian Mountains, the region benefits from a cooler climate, which excels at white wine production. Quality can be outstanding, especially the Moravian whites. Mikulov has certainly the highest concentration of wine cellars for tastings, as well as a fairytale chateau on a hill overlooking the town. Like a guardian, the Pálava Hills, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, seem to be carefully watching the vines.

My husband, daughter and I had an excellent time touring parts of Prague that we would have never had the opportunity to see otherwise. You feel like a local while visiting the cutest vineyard just outside of the city center. Andrea is very knowledgable when it comes to wine and we couldn't recommend this tour more!

Have done quite a few vineyard tours in Europe before. We are avid winelovers with a heavy emphasis usually in French wines. However this was different as my wife & I had no experience with Czech wines. we had an amazing time with our guide, Isabelle. She surprised us with a bottle of Sparkling wine to start our tour and amazed us with her intimate knowledge of Czech wines. She introduced us to Veronique at the Botanical Garden vineyards and we did a detail tour of it, ending up tasting both whites& red wines common in Prague. We now have a better understanding on the unique Czech wines produced in Prague. Overall the experience was special for us as In the short time together Isabelle become a good friend. As she had spent time in Singapore years ago, we exchanged many common stories! Any tour is always enhanced by the warmth and sincerity of the tour guide. In this respect, Isabelle was exceptional!

I am deeply touched by your review. merci beaucoup. To be sincere with you, I was really impressed by the amount and quality of knowledge you have on wine, its history, technology .. all over the world. I was stressed not being able to teach you anything on Czech wines ! Congrats! See you in Singapore for a blind wine tasting and enjoy the rest of your trip.
