About
You want to go beyond touristic areas in Prague and main Czech cities but did not dare organising it? Too complicated in a country you are not familiar with and where you can't talk their language ? We encourage you to discover untouched regions that have more to offer than museums, crowded sightseeings, busy streets and noisy restaurants. And Czech wines? Better than you might think. Mostly fresh, crisp whites, along with some some deep, oaky ones, and lighter, fruity reds on top. We visit winemakers we love for their wines and personalities. One word to summarise the day in the wine country? “Fun”! Just imagine a field trip. But with great wine, good food and interesting locals!

We had a fantastic afternoon with Isabelle at Wine Travel in Czech; we reached out to Wine Travel in Czech on very short notice for a last minute tour, and we are so glad we did! From the first communication via email, to drop off back downtown Prague, the experience with Isabelle and Wine Travel in Czech was personable, professional, and I can’t recommend the experience enough.
One of the most enjoyable wine tastings we have ever done; Isabelle struck the perfect balance of professional, personable, casual, informative and fun.
Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time on our tour to the Bohemian wine district. Our tour guide Andrea was very engaging, knowledgeable and informative. During our ride from Prague to the Bohemian wine region she gave us an overview of wine making in the area including the geology of the area and how it affects the grapes plus a bit of local history. We went to four different wineries that ranged from a large, modern winery to a very small family run vineyard. The winemakers at the wineries took us through their facilities as they showed or described their processes, from crushing the grapes to bottling and then guiding us through a tasting of their wines. All the wines we tasted were excellent. We ended up buying something from each place we stopped. I'm looking forward to taking another one of their wine tours on our next trip to Prague. The problem with that would be....which one to choose? They have tours ranging from 1/2 a day to 3 days in Bohemia and Moravia that all sound like they'd also be great experiences. Highly recommended!

Dear Brenda, dear Mark! Thanks a lot for your nice review as well as per the time you spent with me in Bohemian vineyards. I am glad you enjoyed it and believe me, you were a great company for me too. Enjoy summer - hopefully filled with great wine! 😊 Your pen-friend, Andrea

I work in the wine industry in California and always try to fit in some wine tasting when I am traveling. So, when I decided to visit Prague in May, I organized a tour of the Bohemia wine region, just outside of Prague. First, I will say that I was attending a wedding with a group of friends who joined me. The only day we had to do the tour was on a bank holiday. I was back and forth with Andrea, the owner, and she was able to set up a very fun and interesting day despite the holiday. The wineries graciously opened for a few hours so that we could do our tasting day. MIchael, our guide, also gave up his holiday so that we could have a tour. He was fantastic and very generous to give us his time. I won't say that I loved all of the wines. But, between Michael and the people who provided the tasting, we got a comprehensive idea of the wine industry in the Czech Republic. We also got a history lesson on the progression of the wine industry through all of the political changes that have happened in the Czech Republic. The owner at the first winery we visited was very open about this. What an education. But, not just about the wine. it was a great day! Kudos to Andrea and Michael and their team of wine lovers. I would highly recommend this activity when visiting Prague.

Although we are not wine experts, one of our hobbies is visiting wineries when we're in a new country. We feel extremely lucky to have discovered Wine Tours in Czech, as they provided one of the best wine tours we have ever had. During a recent visit to Prague, we spent two days with Isabelle, one of the leaders of this group. She is extraordinarily knowledgeable not just about wine, but also about Prague, the Czech Republic, architecture, art, history... You name it, she was able to give us colorful information about it.

Isabelle and her partner Andrea also do extensive research into local wineries before including them on their tours. The result is that you get a fascinating look at the wide range of winery operations in CR, from a small family-run home-based operation to some of the largest wine cellars we've visited anywhere. We selected private tours with Isabelle, and they were well worth the cost. At most stops the owner personally guides your visit, and offers fascinating information about their operations, philosophy, future plans, etc. Many of the wineries we visited offered locally made food specialties to go with the extensive tastings.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of Czech wines, mostly because we've never gotten to taste them before. And that's because, at least for the wineries we visited on this tour, even though with high quantities of production, their wines sell out to local customers and they never export. That's too bad for the rest of the world - hopefully some day that will change.

If you have a day or two to spend seeing gorgeous scenery in great company, we'd highly recommend you look into Wine Tours in Czech with Isabelle and Andrea.

I never knew how delicious Czech wine was but my favorite part of this was that Andrea took us to family owned vineyards. We felt good supporting family business and learning about their passion for wine. Andrea's car was comfortable and clean and it was like having a private driver who was also a local friend! I think this is a great add on to the urban tours of Prague so you can see more of the area.

We booked this tour to escape Prague which was too much full of tourists. We heard of Kutna Hora being a nice historical city and as we like wines, we chose this tour that mixes wine and heritage. And that was it ! We discovered great wines produced by such a kind family. The woman took her time to epxlain how they grow wines organically. We visited the very old cave and saw even amphores ! Then we had a nice typical lunch and visited amazing churches, all different with their own style. I've never seen so many bones in the last one! Andrea, our guide, was Always smiling and so knowledgeable about her country. And of course passionate with wine! We'll come back t ovisit South Moravia where the best Czech wines are supposed to be produced!

We had an excellent time with Isabelle in Troya vineyards tour. She was knowledgeable and we got to drink great wine! Hearing about each wine maker's process and wine history in Czech Republic were really interesting. We would love to do another tour on our next trip.
