Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

It was too dark to see anything, lasted 20 minutes, and the information seemed like a poorly put together school history project. A4 pages of typed into in size 10 font. You can barely read it!

Also, random mannequins which add nothing to the display. Only there to give it a “creepy vibe”.

If the writing was bigger, the room was slightly brighter, and perhaps more to look at, it would be A good museum.

A lovely tour through the basement with installed torture exhibition from medieval times. Should’ve been a bit longer as we took it in within 10 minutes.
Price 320 krones approx 7 EUR per person and we expected more.

Guy selling tickets in this museum on 25.08.2018 is cheating on his own company! Regular tickets cost 200 CZK, discounted 150 CZK. He said, that you cant pay with credit card - only cash accepted. I paid 400 CZK for 2 persons, but recieved yellow (discounted) tickets, that cost 300 CZK. When I told him, that I paid too much, he said he made a mistake and gave me blue tickets (I am pretty sure he knew what he was doing when he was selling them). Either the company cheat on taxes OR he is stealing money from the company (50 CZK for each ticket, which is HUGE amount per day. I hope that company owner can read this post. The exposition is not worth this amount of monet.

I was positively impressed by the Museum of Medieval Torture, it’s in bridge Carlo s Square.
The entrance is a bit hidden, it’s inside the tunnel full of shops, right next to the traffic light.
The museum has a big collection of tools of torture and the atmosphere is quite scary!
Fortunately the notes are in various languages (8 actually) and it certainly deserves 150kc to get in since it’s the only museum in Prague to have the descriptions in so many languages!
The show is on 3 floors and every tool has its own historical explanation and when you go out you realize the hour and a half has flown away!
Check it out.

Visited this place and viewed some horrific methods of torture which in my opinion some of these should be brought back for the society of today, the world would be a better place

We stumbled across this museum after seeing a sign for it and thought why not. Entrance costed 200kr which seemed reasonable. The exhibits offered some gruesome history and a reasonable experience. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to do it, unless you’re into this type of thing! Overall it was an average experience, however still enjoyable.

Best part: The Impaler
Worst part: N/A
Bring: Good walking shoes and good humour
Time: 15-45min
Price: 150 Kc

After seeing this Museum advertised outside Charles Bridge, we knew we had to go in.
Over the three floors, there is a range of different torture instruments with short explanations and pictures depicting their use. For a small group of us, the objects taught us something and we had a bit of a laugh in there - depends on your group!

We read each extract, so we were in there for about 45 minutes. Like I said, with a few laughs along the way. I can't fault this small museum.

(We visited the Sex Museum next and were surprised to see some similar pieces in each museum!)

Very good museum. Split over several floors it has pictures, paintings and exhibitions displayed with detailed descriptions about who, what, why and most importantly how some of these devices were implemented. Although with some, you really don't need to read, it's obvious! Worth an hour or so.

Some of the exhibits are disturbing and some are quite lame. Since the admission fee isn't really high. You can definitely go for a quick visit and check out what it has to offer.
