Pragusto Food Tours is an outstanding tour of the culinary gems of Prague. Not only does the tour bring you to local spots not often ventured by tourists looking in travel guide books, it also provides an underlying history of Prague and how food culture flourished after the fall of communism.
We met our guide, Jitka, where she gave us a great summary of the history of Prague and how the food culture of Prague has changed throughout the years. With the fall of communism, Prague became a melting pot for many European cultures to bring in their influences to make some delicious culinary treats with the local farms Czech has to offer. The tour is mostly walking, but that is a good thing because you're able to digest in between each sampling of food.
We started on the west end of the city and made our way towards Old Town Prague. Throughout the walk we learned many interesting facts about the Czech culture, insights on the daily lives of the Czech people, the foods that they eat, and the ways that they prepare their food.
Everything we tried was really fresh and delicious. Each restaurant that we went to had a story behind it and how it fit in the lives of the Czech people. Jitka was very well versed and catered to our dietary preferences and made sure we were satisfied with what was ordered. A few stand out items that we sampled were the buckwheat pancakes, open face sandwiches, and beef carpaccio
Overall, the tour was very well organized, flexible, and definitely something we could not have discovered ourselves. Jitka helped us discovered Prague in a way that was very welcoming and informative and showed us the true Prague culinary scene outside of the tourist quarters. Thank you to Jitka and Pragusto for the lovely tour and taking us all over Prague for some amazing food!

The best. David was a great host, especially when he explained his experiences growing up under the communist regime. In addition to the food tasting, they showed several of the major attractions in Prague. He supplied us with great information about the transformation of Prague over the centuries, so knowledgeable… We visited 5 local restaurants, where we tasted local cuisine, wine and beer.
I urge everyone to take the time to take this tour. We learned more in the 3 hours than we did in the 3 previous days of touring. From the history of the city and country to a variety of fun and interesting spots along the way. Many different type of places to eat and drinking spots, he gave us great information in his own unique, fun way. If you really want to experience Prague in a way that is fascinating and fun then take this fabulous experience,

Veronika was very helpful by email ahead of time, and Jitka was a terrific guide. Even though the stated policies say that a tour can be cancelled if there aren't a minimum number of people signed up, I was the only person signed up and I had a private tour, which went on for even longer than advertised and was a total delight. Jitka was knowledgeable about food, the restaurant scene, and history and culture, and a delightful companion for the evening. The restaurants ranged from traditional to contemporary & cutting edge, but all distinctively Czech, all delicious, and all distinguished by attentive service and ethical approaches to food. It was a great way to get introduced to Prague.

Pragusto Food Tours is a great experience and a must do in Prague! We basically had a private tour with our guide Jitka, who was amazing and very knowledgeable on not just the food, but also on history and culture. We had a range of food tastings at different restaurants, which were were all very different and had their own charms. This is must do to start your trip in Prague!!

I recently returned from a two week holiday in Berlin and Prague. One of the highlights of the trip was the Pragusto Food Tour. I recommend Veronika and her staff. Not only did I get to eat and drink in a few excellent restaurants but I also got educated on traditional Czech food and drinks. The tour included a City Tour from locals who really knew the feeling and the beat of Prague, more than what travel books teach! I am still dreaming about schnitzel, goulash, dumplings and Czech beer!

This was an incredible way to start my visit to Prague! Jitka took me to such a variety of places and was a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable about the food but also culture, art, architecture and language. The restaurants were so different and sometimes very unusual and it was so much fun to have a guide who knew exactly what to do order. I was given far more food than i could possibly eat - though I did my best because it was all delicious!
This tour was a perfect way to start my trip. Jitka had great suggestions for other places to eat and things to see and do, which really made my whole trip brilliant. Thanks for an awesome tour!!

"If you do one thing in town, do this"
We scheduled this tour for the first day of our arrival. The size of the group was small. It was just us and another couple. They keep the groups to a maximum of 6 people which creates an intimate atmosphere. Now for the food: The food was the excelent part of the tour and we were so full by the end of it. What we got here was a truly pleasant experience led by Prague born and bred tour guide Jitka. It was the best day of our trip, made the rest of our stay in Prague so special...

I took the Pragusto tasting walk and had a really wonderful time. There are several reasons for this but the first and the main one is I love to eat as you can see from the many other reviews of places in Prague and around the world. It was very nice to have great local Czech food and hang out in places with the locals.
The tour made several different stops so I was able to sample a great variety and was really full by the end of the tour. The food was excellent and I can honestly say that I enjoyed every bite. On this tour you get a lot more than only food, Jitka, our guide, openly shared her stories about growing up and living in Czechoslovakia and Prague.
The tour really exceeded our expectations between the excellent food and our stellar guide. She is super friendly and made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable.
The tour was a great deal! There was one couple and another individual on the tour and Jitka told us that they really try to keep the groups small which makes the tour more intimate and personal. Come hungry and be prepared to get nicely stuffed!
Lot of the food we sampled was food on a stick „Spejle“, but these are sophisticated sticks as you can see from the pics. Small dishes are freshly made and very tasty. Czech and continental tapas, cold and warm samples of various dishes mainly think of Czech origin. I tried duck with dumplings and cabbage, schnitzel with potato salad and fried potato pancakes with sauerkraut. Don’t miss these delicious czech dessert „rakvicka“/small coffin/ or „vetrnik“ /cream puff/. The tour is always changing based on what Jitka told me and so you get to see a great variety of food.

What better way to explore the cities culinary delights than to book with Pragusto. Locals always know the best places and I wasn't disappointed. Our group was small which was a real bonus in my opinion and our guide was well prepared and lots of fun.I highly recommend booking this tour when you are in Prague.
