Hello! I am a licensed tour guide and a native of Prague. Guiding a group of tourists in and around Prague is something that makes me feel happy and extremely proud. Amongst my interests are photography, music and foreign languages.

Best guide ever! Marketa was organized, patient, easy going, flexible, friendly, and knowledgeable. She made the visit to Prague great. You can’t go wrong. We watched all these large tour groups stuck on a fixed schedule with rigid timelines. And for basically the same cost we did it our way all the way. She even arranged a car and driver at a great price for the day we went out of town. It was great. And when she wasn’t actively guiding us she still was working for us with restaurant recommendations, ideas for what we might do without her, airport research, etc. PM me if you want the ask any questions. Bonus- she is a great photographer so we have much better family pictures than we would have otherwise! And double bonus she is ecologically minded.

What a wonderful way to learn about Prague! Marketa is delightful! We were dropped off at Prague Castle, and spent six hours walking and visiting points of interest. It was a great introduction to this beautiful city, and an amazing lesson in Czech history. Marketa is so filled with knowledge! She is also very patient...We were having such a nice time with the other couple on the tour that we visited over coffee and lunch and extended the tour by at least an hour.

Marketta is a charming and knowledgeable guide who is most anxious to please her guests.
Our tour of the Jewish quarter was insightful and if she did not immediately know the answer to a question (which was rare), she quickly looked it up.
Unlike other cities in Eastern Europe, the Nazis kept Prague's Jewish quarter intact, intending it to be a "Museum of the Extinct Race." So there is much to see and being with Marketta was a plus.
Marketta expertly told the history of the Jewish experience in Prague, beginning in the 6th century to the present day.
Because Marketta is Jewish, she told the painful stories with appropriate emotion.
When we inquired about certain other activities in Prague, she said she would check and call the hotel with the information, which she did!!
Very much recommended!

We were so fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Marketa Daraniova was able to pack in so much into tour but at such a relaxed pace that the time just flew. That said, our 5 hour tour was actually nearer 6 hours as Marketa put us at ease and we all ended up having an unscheduled coffee stop!

The tour was truly wonderful! Marketa is really knowledgeable and goes out of her way to show you the quirks of Prague you may miss with a conventional tour! She had answers to pretty much all our questions and she was lots of fun! I can truly recommend her! Not to mention that she did the tour in impeccable Slovenian, my mother tongue!

A recent 3 day trip to Czech Republic was made truly memorable by an awesome tour from our guide, Marketa at Cool guide Prague!
From the moment we arrived in the historic Bohemian city of Prague, the lovely Marketa began to guide us through the picturesque neighbourhoods and point out the various points of interest. She was very friendly, accomodating and flexible enough to allow us to set the pace on where we wanted to spend our time. She even enthusiastically took photos of us in front of our favourite photo-stops (they all came out great)!
On our second day, Marketa suggested a day trip to Kutna Hora, a UNESCO World Heritage site and short 70km train ride from Czech's capital. We were blown away by the beauty of this ancient mining town and former home to one of Europe's most powerful currency mints in the Middle Ages. That day we also saw a church which featured interiors from human skeletons and examples of massive water wells.
I cannot recommend Marketa from Cool guide Prague more highly! On your next trip to Prague or Czech Republic you should contact Marketa to conduct a custom tour for you.

Markéta has been working for several years as an external guide to the Mucha Museum in Prague. Her preparation and interpretation are at a very professional level and clients are always satisfied with her work. Due to its overall approach, I recommend it so much.

The Tour was amazing and surprising. We felt very well during the time with our guide. Guide Marketa war well versed in the history and cultural background. She was well informed and gave a lot of interesting tips and information. Marketa picked us up from our accommodation, what was really nice.

Friends from abroad visited and we wanted them to have a proper but more personalized tour. We found our wonderful guide Marketa through her website and got signed in. It was truly an amazing afternoon and we all (included us locals) learnt so many new interesting things. We cannot recommend this enough! Great knowledge and quirky sense of humor.
