Usually shows some interesting exhibition

This time we visited two exhibitions: Nobility&Piety and Czech landscape painting. Quite well presented. In the Masne Kramy Gallery (part of Zapadoceska galerie) we always miss a cafe, and one of the disadvantages is also very difficult parking nearby. In another part of the Zapadoceska galerie, in the Museum, there is a pleasant small cafe (low prices).

Nice and quiet place close to the main square in Pilsen

Just few steps from the Pilsen main square, nice architecture perfectly renovated. They are changing the exhibitions regularly, so check the actual program.

A disappointing experience

This art gallery is split between two buildings on Prazska - the 'Masne kramy' at no.18, and a smaller exhibition hall at no.13. The exhibitions change periodically. When I visited in September 2016, the Masne kramy had a collection of inter-war modernist Czech art which I quite enjoyed.

No.13 had an exhibition called 'Turning Pages', about modern book culture. I was absolutely forbidden to view this exhibition by the unfriendly staff, apparently on the basis that I could not speak Czech. This was very disappointing, I think art should be available to all regardless of nationality.
