Absolutely stunning to look at. I did not enter the synagogue but I viewed it from across the road and also from atop the St. Bartholomew Cathedral. Very impressed by it, indeed.

We were told that this was the largest synagogue in Eastern Europe. It is beautiful on the outside and is spectacular at night when you are looking from the main square down the street. Sadly, the note on the four said it was closed from...More

If you’re on a walking tour around the Pilsen center you should pass by the synagogue. It’s great to see! If you’re lucky you can go inside as well.

The building alone was very impressive. The historical exhibits related to the history of the Jewish community in Plzen makes it quite interesting and special.

Tickets are pretty cheap and the synagogue is really interesting. All the pics on the walls and the history that they show is worth seeing.

The synagogue itself is stunning, there are photographs on the walls with descriptions, paid to get in but not expensive

The synagogue itself is wonderful, I haven't seen one that big before. Unfortunately, the whole image was a bit worsened because of the very unfriendly lady at the reception/desk.

Hämmästyttävän suuri, kun aiemmin nähnyt vain pieniä synagoogia. Ei erikoisen näyttävä, mutta koollaan vaikuttava. Amazing, how big it is. Before seen only small synagogues. Not very adorable, but the size is amusing.
